These exercises not only has helped my hip and back, it has helped with anxiety, partly due to the form of breathing. I've been doing this for a few months and I'm enjoying it more now that I can focus better on the energy curve. I especially love exercises #3 (relaxing for my hip/back) and #12 is a fun way to end the movements. You're right it's a great way to start the day but sometimes I do it in the evening. Thank you thank you!!!!

I love this fun form of tai chi. It helps my hip that has had a pressed nerve in the area - it's gotten lots better. So I'm not going to bother with an MRI $1400 only to get a cortisone injection that might help temporarily plus its toxic. Thank you soooo much for helping me heal!!

Dear Pedram Shojai , i practice your daily dozen and i find them a good way to start learning about tai chi . But once i did it without your tutorial and maybe i didn`t breathe correctly and after 40 minutes of exercise i felt strong tingling and numbness in my arms . Like the qi was traped or lacked in my arms. Do you have any ideas why this could occur. Even though it was a bit scary because i never felt so powerful effects from tai chi, after 10 min i had bursts of laughter and sweat. Thoughts ?

the reason why it feels trapped is because you are gathering so much energy and not directing it anywhere, the numbness is normal, it happens when you over flow with out setting the intention of where you want that energy to go. What I recommend is go into a vibratory state. This is as simple as bouncing in horse stance after you ground yourself and also shaking your hands as you bounce. This will allow your energy to settle and move around throughout the body and create an awe sensation within the nervous system. Also the laughter comes from the serotonin release this exercise allows you to access and sweat could be from the focus of breath. people say breathing is easy, but it's actually very difficult for some people when it come to focused breathing and movements. What you are experiencing is perfectly normal and sounds like you are coming into alignment with the self. =) hopefully this helps

I'm sorry you are not using proper tai chi principles. Look into Chen, Wu or Yang style. I think you'll be glad you did.
