I have had 19 wonderful and exiting years with my Citroën C5 sedan. We drove 445.000 km together and she is still running nicely. I startede considering and locking for a replacement about 2 years ago. Im in the used carmarket. Have been around BMW 5 series, Audi A6, Skoda Superb, Tesla S and Mercedes E-class. After taking all my preferences into consideration I ended up with a Volvo XC70 summum MY 2016. I'm glad that I came over this video. Very informative and god explanation, but best of all it is obvius in the comments, that there is a community around Volvo - happy to know that I might find a new "family".

I can confirm that's module work properly and also tail gate light from other film also works great in my V70 2009 with hydraulic tail gate, so highly recommend this guy's and they realy know what they do.

Have used the tailgate module a couple months now. And works perfect every time. Got very good in detailinstruction manual from evegny the seller. He was very help full whit informatin before buying. And i recomend to buy one if you want wortg every penny. Bougt one for my brother to and works perfect every time. Going to buy handmade Sweden mosse from him got one and very good quality to to hang on mirror👍 recom3nd you do the same they are litle expensive but hey these guys are awesome.

I installed the module and like it to a point. The issue I have is that there is no way to not trigger the close function when opening a side door if they are locked. Not so much of a problem if you're alone, but when one person opens the tailgate, then the other person unlocks a side door, the tailgate will close on the person working in the tailgate. If you remember to unlock the doors first before opening the tailgate, no problem, if you forget, it's disruptive to your marital harmony.

You said that the spring should face pin in the connector, but in the video you are inserting it in 2 different ways - 1st long cable one way (spring facing cable) and the 2nd long and 1st short the other way (spring not facing cable). Can you look at the video and tell me which one is the correct, long K1 or long K4?

The spring should not face the cable. On the contrary, it should be facing outwards, towards the housing.

Hi. I resolved my issue with the Tailgate on my XC70 D4 2014 by removing the earth wire from the connector block as advised in your video, thanks. On an unrelated issue, have you ever experienced a vibration / tingling in your foot via the gas pedal. Recently happening to me, so had the tyres balanced, but still same.

Hi pleased to see your video. My problem is the trunk door is blocked.Impossible to open it. I notice the right side is slightly less engaged meaning probably a little stone is stuck in between the door and the car frame. What would you suggest as a solution to open the backdoor then ? You can't! You don't have power lift gate.

Hi Simon. Wondering if you got a response to your question. I have a similar issue with my power assist tailgate. There's a bit of slop which I am assuming is a loose connection in the mechanism that hopefully can be remedied with a small investment in time. I'm just not sure how to access that area (above, in the hinge area). All the best.

Hi Marc. I replaced the gas strut on the driver side wich assists the tailgate motor. It fixed my problem. I removed the 8mm bolt wich is above the light in the trunk. Then the top and the side plastic covers just pops out. The side ones has to be popped out then pulled up. Then i removed the plastic fasteners for the cargo divider. There is one 13mm bolt on each side under a plastic cover. Now the headliner was loose enough for me to access the gas strut. Remember to support the tailgate. Hope this helps.
