Tailored Performance in the 2022 Mercedes AMG E53

For 2022 Mercedes-Benz has stepped away from the V8, leaning in to smaller displacement alternatives like the rest of the industry. AMG, the performance sub-brand, likes to take what MB has crated and make it more engaging to drive. So when you think of a Mercedes-AMG collaboration there must be something special under the hood… right?YES! But what?
In this 2022 Mercedes-AMG E53 sedan it is the 3.0L twin-scroll turbocharged inline-six making 429 horsepower. Routed through a 9-speed automatic to all four wheels, this power plant is capable of a 4.4 second 0-60 mph run, according to the manufacturer.
This engine is also paired with an electric motor for a little extra "oomph" off the line.
We didn't even mention the different drive modes, the adjustable suspension, and the dual-mode exhaust! All this technology can be customized to your liking and taste for performance.
