I used to use calm in high school to do breathing Exercises for anxiety I’m absolutely heartbroken that you have to pay for that kind of thing now

i searched calm breathing exercises and was so glad this video came up first. i have watched it a few times now, it's nearly 4am and i am out of my panic and i think i can sleep soon. this video really helped me tonight. thanks for sharing it x

I cannot thank you enough. I am in tears. Like many, I have struggled with intense anxiety my entire life, and have had truly bad phases throughout of feeling that I cannot breathe. It even seems to manifest unexpectedly, which will trigger my anxiety more, from the panic of speculating if I am having a sudden heart-related medical emergency. I’ve started experiencing these “breathing attacks” more frequently this year, and call my husband relentlessly when I panic, which is unfair to him. I need to learn to calm myself down, and self-regulate - it is something I have always struggled to do. This video helped me come down, and my breathing stabilized again. Thank you again.

I’m currently undertaking a 20 week DBT skills course and we were shown this in week 3. I have used it every single day this week and it is absolutely amazing how much it is helping me.

I would love a series in the app to fight anxiety during this difficult time if corona virus and also bear the confinement (I from France and I am living in a very small flat where I don’t have the right to go out for maybe 2 months) We are flooded with information, we are scared about being sick and so on. It would be so great to have a special series from Tamara!

Surely you have the right to go for groceries or a walk.... I have written down just on a piece of cardboard the 5 things that helps me leave the mind ... Humming Breathing Rest Placing of hands... chest, tummy, top of head, forehead and back of neck together Listening to yoga nidra You have to do them as regularly as possible, the humming breathing you can do with chores Your situation is tough but keep awareness towards these and avoid listening to negative stuff...

This is so cool, I like the sound so soothing and the design is minimal and beautiful which adds to the relaxing ambiance. That would be so cool if you could make a similar video for box breathing (4 in 4 hold 4 out 4 hold ...)

Can you please make a longer 10 minute run time as I have been asked to practice for minimum 10 minutes, presently restart several times which breaks up the mindfulness.

@@rigmar9250 it might be that... I’ve got the app for several yrs and the breathing bubble has been as well for quite some time. I have the payed version but I’m sure this bubble is available in the free trial version as well... contact @Calm. They are very kind and supportive with any doubts

Google baby lullabies to put baby to sleep. Look for the one that says "Baby Lullaby and Freshwater Aquarium" This is a real nice one.

I wasn't allowed to breathe but then I clicked on this video and it said breathe. Nearly suffocated if it wasn't for the vid 10/10 would breathe again

Hmm I found that tweeking this so it's at 0.5 (50%) speed, & doing the exhale like Dr. Andrew Weil's 4-7-8 breathing - through pursed lips - works best for me. Makes the video last twice as long as well :) I'm not necessarily doing it for anxiety, rather for chest/lung health related to lyme complications. Also, very beneficial for meditation. Wld love to find an on-line class or whatever practicing gentle but deep breath for .. health, meditation.

Our meditations are nothing but breathing -- perfect breathing, without any chemicals in them. A man who can meditate will not be able to enjoy the breathing, any breathing, because his meditation gives him so much peace, and the breathing will disturb it. Breathing never give you anything. If you are too disturbed, then a breathing relaxes you. But if you are at the peak of your bilss, a breathing will relax you downwards. So people who live in the valleys need breathing. People who live on the peaks don't need them.
