@@MM-uw4lc Conventional = Freestanding Refrigerator? If so, Consumer Reports does a pretty cool thing and measures the usable square footage of various refrigerators. I recall they found some full depth freestanding refrigerators that claimed to have close to 29 cu ft only had something like 13-14 cu ft of actual usable space inside. On the other hand, a 20 Cu Ft built-in like this one had some where north of 15 or 16 cu ft of usable space. But don’t believe everything you read. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have you received complaints re: the ice machine? When opening the ice drawer ice will often get snagged and fall behind the drawer, preventing the flex drawer from closing.

Not on these units but it’s a fairly common complaint with bottom freezers in general. The GE in our new house does it all the time. It drives me nuts.

Thanks for the reply. I have this model and the have to remove the ice maker 1-2 times per week. With all the technology you’d think there would be an option to fill the bin 1/2 way.

I just bought this pos and can't close the drawer because ice is becoming jammed. Any solution? If you are reading this do not buy !!!!

@@rolbrysyou do realize that you can just turn the ice making function off when the drawer is getting full so it doesn’t overflow? Also thermador tech was just here for a different reason and told me they make a special plate now to solve this issue supposedly

@@hp36936good to know! My middle drawer isn’t closing all the way for some reason. Leaving frost in the compartment and it’s not flush from the outside when “closed”. Factory tech will look at it tomorrow, it’s brand new. I’ll ask him about this new thing since I have the same concern.

The lower-end Thermadors have poorly designed tracks and rollers for the freezer drawer. It is a nightmare to keep the freezer drawer aligned. Constantly having to open it for ice doesn't help I am sure.
