"You should be ASHAMED!" "If she IS your wife, YOU should be ashamed." ROTFL! Ah, Groucho, you are my idol and favorite comedian- I'm Jewish and I love comedy, want to maek it my life, and hope I can be even HALF as great as you. You must be having the time of your life (or should I say afterlife?) up there with Harpo, Chico, Zeppo, Moe, Curly, Larry, Shemp, Laurel, Hardy, Abbott, Costello, and little Chaplan. :D

he reminds me of the valasic pickle commercials "now that's the tastiest crunch I've ever heard" (with a dash of bugs bunny)

@jazzharp52 No Bugs Bunny. Bugs Bunny was a take on Groucho. The Vlasic pickle stork is all Groucho.

Something very Bugs Bunnylike about Groucho's imperturbability, urbanity and constant wisecracks.

Yes, then again, Groucho was famous well before Bugs was first drawn, it's perhaps better to say that there is something Groucho-like about Bugs Bunny. :)

@obiwanobiwan1314 жыл бұрын
@hondagoal Well, he's sort of a different brand of comedy from the Marxes, Stooges, A&C, Chaplan and, I'm ashamed I didn't put them in there last time, THE PYTHONS (HOW could I have forgotten THEM... The Beatles of Comedy!) Don't get me wrong, as an edgy standup, Carlin was THE GREATEST, I think, I ESPECIALLY recommend his "Dirty Words" and "Differences Between Baseball and Football" bits. But he's a one-man show and telling "R-rated" jokes; ANYONE can watch Groucho or the Stooges...

It is easy to overlook the actor that played the stuffy, elitist. He came across as genuinely detestable; a credit to his acting skills. If not for talented actors, such as him, the stars of the film would not have the setting to entertain us with their comedic genius.
