Artour rakhimov said that the reason the wim hof method works is that when you take the 30 deep breaths round after round you increase the oxygen saturation in the blood and when you hold your breath the Co2 level rises to a point where all that oxygen is being binded to the cells therefore increasing your BOLT score/ Control pause by 15seconds

Man i want to tell you that the informations shared in these interview were really important for me. I've been breathing wrong for near 25 years because i always suffered from allergic ashtma and, even tho i know there is no cure for that, using these techniques you can really improve a lot your life style. I really don't understand how nobody of the doctors i met didn't know about this.

So fascinating! I’ve been trying to incorporate more slow soft nasal breathing practices as well as my deep belly breathing practices. I’m not sure however I completely agree in regards to deep belly breathing not being ‘good’ for you (ie Wim hof style method) as it’s really been helping me recover from chronic fatigue syndrome and helped me release trauma from my body. It seems a bit conflicting? However I will take into mind giving myself more recovery time after each round of deep breathing. I think the key is listening to what the body needs. Sometimes fast deep breathing isn’t what my body wants and I’ll do box breathing instead.

Kirsty Anne I have heard Patrick say in other interviews that there is a place for the Wim Hoff method and it is particularly helpful for people with auto immune conditions. I guess this makes you a positive testimonial. So glad for you that you've found relief.

Great video, I have been meditating for about 7 years now and doing breathing exercises for the past few years. I would like to get my dad into breathing exercises. A few months ago he had a Laryngectomy, meaning he now breathes through a stoma in his neck instead of his nose and mouth. I'm wondering how it would be for those neck breathers to do these kinds of breathing exercises as they can no longer breathe through their nose. Do you have any idea how it would be or have you dealt with anyone before? Any information would be highly appreciated. I know this wouldn't be in high demand but I'm sure it would be highly appreciated by Laryngectomees if you could make a video on this.

Hi, I have not found anyone able to answer this: Is the "six breaths per minute" the optimal cadence, or a minimum recommendation such that the fewer breaths the better?
@davidtolle95332 жыл бұрын
6 breaths a minute is the average cadence for most people for optimal results. The range is 4.5 - 7 breaths i believe. Start at 6 and then play around with the cadence to find your pace.

Thank you! Love your interviews. A question - I have chronic migraine and an autoimmune condition (alopecia). I started Wim Hof breathing daily a year ago. I previously had some parathesia (numbness, tingling, hypersensitive skin) on my lower face, all day. It seems to be getting worse and often on my whole face and torso too. Have you heard of this before? Not sure if the breathwork is making worse or just a coincidence.

Hof ? If no improvements - it might be high time to try the right one - that Patric kindly 🙏 offers for free here ?

I have ashtma post covid. I noticed after I do breathwork it triggers my ashtma.. Its a bit dangerous.. I just want you to display a warning about that 😔😭
@TAKEADEEPBREATH4 жыл бұрын
Hi Artur, so sorry to hear you had covid, I hope your recovering, you are right, different breathwork has different results, heavy mouth breathing exercises can make the situation worse sometimes, with these sorts of exercises Patrick is talking about, my understanding is these are nasal, slow, deep and light all of which can help if you have asthma, that being said everyone is different and should be careful what they undertake. I wish you well on your path to recovery and thank you so much for raising these points in the comments.

Nose breathing has really, really helped my asthma. To the point where I can't say that I even have asthma anymore.

What is being cured in this 'breathing cure'.
@davidtolle95332 жыл бұрын
If we say breathing will cure a specific ailment, then it will be ridiculed and maybe even removed, even if it could be true. If you breathe right long enough you may find that many of the physical issues you've had become alleviated almost to the point where they can be "cured".

please include more actual scientific studies to back up what you are saying. not anatomic info, not calculations about breathing gases or info from science books. real, actual scientific studies that back up what you are saying. i am not disagreeing with anything Patrick said, just saying all the stuff he tried to back it up with was science like, but it doesn't sound like anyone has actually tested his hypothesis in a real scientific study with a test group and a control group.
