@nachoproblem29 күн бұрын
11:45 I think part of the problem is that every throw is a fastball. He lacks touch and the off speed stuff. Josh Allen had/has the same problem and when Allen has accuracy issues, it's normally because he goes into throwing everything as hard as he can, probably because he is throwing it later than he should be and isn't throwing with anticipation because he isn't seeing the defensive scheme like he should be. Peyton Manning was still effective in Denver when he was throwing spaghetti balls because he knew what the defense was doing pre and post snap and threw those spaghetti balls with great anticipation. Same with Brady throughout his career and at the end of it.

He only surpassed 4k yards once in his career, only got above a 90 QBR twice, and averaged under 220 yards per game. He was an elite player in that he added that duel threat but to call him an elite passer when he completed less than 60% of his passes is insane. I know you added the caveat of his shoulder injury to that...but he really only had one elite year in 2015. He didn't injure his shoulder until December in 2016 and that year was a bust too, even before that. We can look at highlights all we want but if we only look at highlights, Rex Grossman was amazing.

I think he’ll be fine. Not everyone comes into the NFL ready to start day one. Sitting behind a Vet like Flacco should help him.

Remeber when people called Carson Wentz soft for leaving the Playoff game in 2019 with a concussion from Clowney 😂 Imagine just taking yourself out

Don't worry. They just don't want him to get tired 😂😂. I have been watching the nfl for a very long time and have never heard of a qb bench himself because they were tired. Benching him is probably the best thing for him. He can work on his skills and his cardio.

if you generous and count wide receiver drops he would still be at a sub 50% completion percentage. I have watched every colts game this year and you can see the frustration on the WRs and coaching staff. the only thing you could argue is defensively we haven't been the best but the D really has stepped up since week 3.

People knew that Richardson was a project with insane upside. We knew it might take awhile. He's only played in 10 GAMES! People are still giving Justin Fields the benefit of the doubt after 50 starts. He was drafted purely on potential, not results. Young was the 'NFL ready' guy. And don't think that what Stroud is doing isn't exacerbating everything.

Colts are sacrificing long term success for short term gain. Flacco will get them a 9-8 record just like last year with Minshew. With this they'll either miss the playoffs or sneak in as a final seed. This isn't a SB roster and it will get them the 16th pick again and they'll be stuck in the same cycle they've been in for 7-8 years now. AR needs to be the starter so he can learn. He won't get any better just sitting on the bench, even if this year is a rough year for them then maybe they can get a top 5-10 pick and give him more receivers. Coming from a colts fan on benching AR
@glaucidiumgnoma579729 күн бұрын
Honestly, l think it will be good for AR to learn behind Flacco. look at what love did with the packers. AR is simply not NFL ready.
@glaucidiumgnoma579729 күн бұрын
Also the colts have a great WR core that’s not there problem.
@matthewchewning382229 күн бұрын
He's not getting better playing. It doesn't look like there's a long term future with him. Colts probably going to be chasing another first overall franchise qb in the next three years.

Bryce Young needs to be the starter so he can learn. He won't get any better just sitting on the bench.

10:56 "it was just a handoff." Don't you think they did a handoff because Flacco had no time to warmup and prep for the play/current drive? I really think you guys are making a big deal outta nothing. Another perspective you could take with this is that at least he was honest to sit out the play because he was tired and didn't jeopardize the next play.
