😂 I couldn't help but laugh out loud and feel Kaya was giving off upset girlfriend vibes when she moved to the corner of the bed! She was like, dont talk to me. Maybe she didn't appreciate not going on the paddle ride. 😉 BTW, you're a thoughtful and caring doggy dad. Beautiful location that you're in and this video has been enjoyable! Thanks. 😊

Great video Johnathan. I live on Vancouver Island and know exactly what you were experiencing views and scenery wise on Orcas Island. If you haven't already made the trek, Vancouver Island is epic on every level. Tons of wilderness to explore, wild spaces and views on views. Could be a few weeks worth of videos.

Jonathan! This was such a beautiful trip. Peuget Sound Islands are beautiful. Kaya is doing sooo well. That water just looked like butter out there when you were paddling. I got stuck in the same propane truck fire closure. His wheel well sparked causing the tanks to explode. Took me an hour at 11-1130 time frame to get out of portland! Glad you made it out! 😊😂 Also,I found if you open windows even on a super hot day where the cars sit it's like a wind tunnel so the car stays very cool. Orcas is beautiful. My husband's family used to own property out there and they would occasionally ask him to go out to do some workon the property. He'd take me when my schedule allowed and we'd stay a night or two. We used to take the ferry once or twice a month when we lived in Bremerton, and I miss the trip. There is just something a little bit magical about traversing the Puget Sound on a ferry. The food is usually pretty good when you can catch the cafeteria open. If you ever want to go to Alaska, there is a ferry from Bellingham to Alaska that I've heard good things about, it's a three? day trip up. I've seen it leave the terminal but was never able to find the time to take the journey. I've heard that in the summer months you can pitch a tent and sleep out on one of the decks.

We took our family to Anacortes an to Orcas about 5-6 years ago. It was a great trip. One weird thing was a member of the crew was very rude to us and my daughter was very upset about it. Also, another ferry employee was very nice to us and very helpful so it isn’t everyone that is disgruntled and unhappy.

Orcas Island is beautiful. I've only been once, but there were a ton of beautiful hikes, caves, and waterfalls that we explored. Also, my friend had mentioned something about the trees with the bright red bark only being native to the PNW. Pacific Madrone, and they were all over the island. I recall a chill brewery we had a few beers at, and we also visited where her brother worked at Camp Orkila. I didn't do well on the ferry there, but on our way back, it wasn't so bad after having a few ciders at the cider place waiting to board the ferry.

I love orcas island! It was wonderful watching this video! If you get a chance you should read the book The Barefoot Bandit, it’s a true story about a young teenager that used to cause ruckus all around orcas and he even taught himself how to fly a plane and stole it. It’s actually a great read!

BC ferries are frustrating sometimes I haven't personally had that many issues with them and my child is obsessed. Apparently he's going to change everything about BC ferries when he becomes a captain. Lol. And then you can board anytime free and you can go ahead of the line 😂

U can increase your fuel mileage! What year is your Ford? 2007- 2011 diesel has issues but 6.0 and 6.7 are great engines and u can get great mpg. 1.Put air box were the air filter is currently. 2. 6.0 ford u should get 17 mpg with camper if u tune it right. 3. 6.7 can get 16 to 20 mpg w/ camper Get a good diesel guy out of state to tune it.

Now you're talking my language -- Washington State Ferries. I'm on Bainbridge Island. This landscape, those frogs, and the boats are familiar. None of the boat galley food (while servicable) is anything to write home about, unless you want to complain about the cost. At least they frequently have three beers on tap, if the galley is open (WSF is understaffed), and you'll pay more than at the ballpark. Oh well, it's a sweet ride. You should tell the folks how much you have to pay to get your truck on the ferry.
