One thing that's worked well for us while camping is tying a rope between 2 trees about 4-5' in the air, then tethering them to that rope. Minimizes tangles and gives them a good run if the trees are far apart. Ground ties will ALWAYS tangle in sticks, picnic tables, your feet, camp chairs, etc. Kaya looks like she's having a blast!

Could do this in the back of the truck .. tie a rope between the hooks above each window and tether a short leash to it. Doggie can go between each window, lay down, stay in the back, and when you open the back door .. dog stays in car without barging out. We do tethering when transporting rescue dogs who do not understand traveling from i.e. Texas to Maine to be rescued and given a chance would bolt.

Just a note from an individual who transported dogs (and other pets) and volunteered for a dog rescue organization transporting dogs across the USA for 5+ years .. do not feed dogs, especially puppies, food or treats during rides .. tummies and bowels can be sensitive and will either vomit or have diarrhea or both. Have cleaning products handy. Even have a light breakfast and make sure both #1 and #2 are done before traveling. Also, make sure to get a doggie first aid kit. Blessings for a happy adventure.

You need a blanket for the dog. When the blanket or mat is out the dog will settle down and sleep. Also a few chew bones and toys will keep him occupied. Also you can get a part leash extension the clips right into the seat belt. Your dog is a cutie. Very smart. The dog that I currently have is the only dog that will travel in the car. But she will sit quietly on a patio outside. We have lots of pet friendly patio restaurants - breweries. Enjoy enjoy. Make many memories with your fur baby.

Not sure if you are using a crate when you are home or not. It is a great safety and training tool. Many breeds of dogs can not be left home alone, especially when they are young. They will tear the place apart when you're gone or when you're sleeping. Pet stores also have water bottles that you can attach to the crates, so no need to worry that your fur baby isn't getting the water she may need. They learn quickly not to drink too much and then have to pee when in the crate. I also noticed that crate training lets your companion know that you are in charge and they are not. They learn that and also learn self control. My Aussi used her crate once she was older much like a den when I wasn't home. It had her favorite blanket and toys in it and she felt safe, comfortable, liked it and would sleep in it even with the door open.

Great video. We always use a car seat harness like you. Ever since I made a sudden stop after a knucklehead cut me off and my pup went crashing into the front seat,then the floor, he wears a harness. Don’t worry about filming perfect videos, this is your story to tell, however you can. Believe it or not, learning how to walk your dog is one of the hardest. Dogs learning the proper way to walk beside you on leash, with all its parts like to stop, stay or sit means when you practice those off leash they get it. They won’t wander too far off and most importantly, they come when called.
@lory7337 ай бұрын
Kaya is absolutely adorable. I love her floppy ears. I am glad you are getting her out camping early to get her used to it. I can't wait to see her grow and have fun hiking and camping with you. I could not tell how you buckle her up, but you can buy her a strap that attaches to her collar and then clips into the seatbelt.

Congratulations on the puppy. Our lab doesn't have any set time for feeding. He was the same way. We leave a daily amount of food in his bowl at all times. By the end of the day, it is usually gone. Invest in a pizza stone to leave in the oven. I place mine under the rack. Does a great job of distributing the heat in the oven when using it.

Ruffware makes a really great dog tie out that goes between two tree or objects suspended and then you just clip them to the line with their dog leash. Nice Pizza crust good work lol. Actually I have a fix I use in our similar camper oven. Put some aluminum foil on the bottom rack below the pizza. This will allow the heat to diffuse and cook evenly. Also this will catch dripping cheese as a added bonus. I usually just leave it in there and swap it out once it gets dirty. Cheers!

💖💖 hey babe, cute video and I’m glad you have your puppy to keep you busy and not alone. Few things I want to touch on as a mama lol didn’t hear your smoke alarm going off so hope you get a battery for that. It’s so important now that you’re with another life to take care of and yourself. And you’re gonna need a nice little doggie bed to put on the corner of your couch, so your dog does not mess up that vintage look or start stinking up the place because as you know, dogs and puppies can leave odors on your material. And when teaching your puppy commands, try to use the same words when you are commanding your puppy on individual things. I noticed you were using a lot of different words and dogs, understand short into the point words on what you want them to do. For instance, no, jumping should be used constantly or when you want them to come do you use the word come only. And always always Let them know they have done a good job and give them pride in themselves by obeying your commands. Your puppy is that a crucial points and the biggest time for teaching them what you want them to do. Good luck to you and your cute as a button, stay safe and get that smoke alarm fixed lol.
