Can't believe it feels so clear u sitting in ur bedroom in ur parents home planning 2 leave for New York. I remember being so worried about ur elderly dog thinking how it was going to feel once u left, then u being in New york. U have been through so much and its been a joy watching every moment. It feels like I put on a movie and now part 1 of the movie is coning to and end. U have taught me so much although I'm soo much older. I can go on and on but love u and ur channel. Can't wait to watch the next sequal/episode

Ahhh Tara, I didn't know you started EMDR! I can't tell you how nice to was to hear you share your experience with it I'm 4 months into it and it's feeling SO transformative (and exhausting lol). I've shared parts of my journey online because agreed there's still limited personal experiences with it, but I just loved how open you were - thank you, it was the right time for me to hear this!

also, yes, more intense, but the amount of processing that happens and shifts that are occurring (for me atleast), is beyond what years of talking therapy has been able to provide.

Just have to add that us other Canadians also struggle with cracking the social code in Vancouver. It’s definitely a different vibe from everywhere else in Canada that I have been.

I'm thinking about moving back to my hometown after 14 years in NYC so comforting to know others are making the same kind of moves. I'm definitely not feeling like it's a failure but rather a full circle moment

I’ve been living in Vancouver for just under 8 years and I totally agree with people being hard to crack and make connections! Coming from Toronto, where everyone spoke with basically everyone else haha, this has been a constant struggle here.

I lived in Vancouver for a year and I found it very lonely there. I think part of that comes down to the time zone difference, especially at the beginning. Calling my parents or even replying to texts from friends in Ireland was tricky with 8hrs difference. Absolutely beautiful place though, going into the city on the skytrain and having the mountains as the backdrop to your commute is amazing.
