Hi Garron! American expat here in Ireland for the last 18 months. I can honestly say that aside from my coworkers, I have learned more about the people, culture, foods, and humor of my new home from you. Love your videos, and so happy to see you are having success, and at something you clearly love doing! All my best wishes for you, from your American fan in County Longford!

Hi Garron, I'm in Tasmania, (AUS) We love a cup a tea here to warm us up in the miserable cold winter that, by the way, last for 9 months of the year, not 3 like they'd like us to believe, no bloody Global warming here.. Anyway, would you consider having someone like your Nan on to show us all how to make a Pot of Tea.. With my Nan, you needed to start your cup of tea 20 minutes before you wanted it. Get out the special cups. Boil the water, warm the pot, warm the cup, steep the tea by turning the pot the family secret way, lol😅😅 omg I loved it. And if anyone had ever cleaned the tannin out of the pot, we'd have been excommunicated.

Some years back I went out to dinner with an old friend. He chose an Irish pub where an Irish band was going like Billy-o. My wife & I had had a casual Celtic trio awhile back and casually mentioned, you know many Irish musicians really want to be country. No! said my friend (his ancestors came from Ireland, don’t you know). As if on cue, the band started in on a country music set. My friend was gobsmacked. “You have to keep up,” I said. 😜

Jaysus, Alan Clarke! I remember him well from St. Gerald’s and working in Hollywood Video in Castlebar, back in the day. Mayo’s biggest and best town 😉 Castlebar is a very historical town, between being the location of the Races of Castlebar in 1798, the Mall, Daly’s/the Imperial Hotel being the site of establishment of the Land League, Lord Lucan’s old estate, the auld Army barracks, being the birthplace of two Taoisigh and one of the most popular novelists in the world, at present. There’s also the National Museum out in Turlough, plus MacHale Park, which will celebrate its centenary in a few years.

From Wikipedia: During counter-guerrilla operations in The Burren in 1651-52, Edmund Ludlow stated, "(Burren) is a country where there is not enough water to drown a man, wood enough to hang one, nor earth enough to bury him...... and yet their cattle are very fat; for the grass growing in turfs of earth, of two or three foot square, that lie between the rocks, which are of limestone, is very sweet and nourishing.
