i have this weird condition where i am both fascinated by everything nautical and yet ..... the first and last time I was out at sea I was sooooooooooo sick I couldn't even enjoy myself. My son told me "you're more likely to get sick on smaller boats than big ones" but hell, i was on a fishing boat! it was the biggest i'd been on. I spent every summer of my childhood with my sisters and their grandpa on a much smaller boat catching scallops off the coast of florida. we had lots of choppy waves every time we went out. I don't know... maybe one day i'll try again. I just really really want to be on one of those tall ships, and not while it's sitting in port with tourists roaming around on deck.

What a beautiful ship! I'd give everything for time on that deck

That's one hell of a replica. Do we know which ship it was modeled after?

Stad Amsterdam was built in Amsterdam at the Damen shipyard and launched in 2000. It is not a replica. Rather, it is modeled after a 19h century frigate. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stad_Amsterdam

This was very cool. Congrats. She doesn’t look giant. Why did she need the pilot?

Probably because they requested one

@@sea_weathered gotcha. Definitely time travel. Was the inflatable yours or theirs. Very uniques pilot transfer. Thanks for the video.
