OK, I'm always bummed out when I want to shoot something like that yellow car and it's crowded with other cars. This lens combined with your skills grabs it and blurs the other cars thanks to the F2. Love it! Giving me ideas! You don't stress over the crowded conditions, you just find a way, make it fun and get it done. Well done, and thanks! I own the R6, RF 28-70 F2 L & RF 70-200 F2.8 L.

Hello my friend! Thanks for the kind comment! I appreciate the feedback. You have a great setup. I really enjoyed the 28-70 while I used it and the 70-200 is just a legendary focal length! 💯📸

Nice work, be keen to know what f stop you're shots were at, was a little surprised there wasn't more bokeh in many of them. Are you shooting wide open for all these shots?

2870mm f2 is a really nice lens. Very versatile. One downside is that it can produce sometimes soft images on f2 with focal 45mm, 70mm under certain light conditions. It looks like haze effect/ghosting. I tried with and without UV filter which one I use and have the same results. When focusing on eye You are getting soft eye brush but it is visible only on 100% crop on R5. When changing focal to 60mm or pushing fstop to f2.8 it eliminates the problem. I thought that my copy could have defect but on forum I saw that one guy had similar issue and he blames the counstruction and compares to other Old light lenses. On the other hand You can use this lens for around 95% wedding shots and even with this problem it is perfect tool.

Awesome pics! Did you think the 28-70 was too heavy to carry around for street / travel photography as a primary lens?
@MilmidStudios Жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for stopping by :D The 28-70 is about 3.1lbs… so it is a hefty lens that may be a bit cumbersome for travel. If carrying around that weight doesn’t deter you then I would absolutely do it because it is a gorgeous lens! After consideration I think a great travel lens is the RF 24-105 with the f4 aperture all the way through. It’s half the weight of the 28-70 and a lot more versatility of range! 👌🏽💯📸

Hey brother! I will definitely check your stuff out. This is such a great body/lens combo. How long have you had the R5 and how are you liking it for street?

Love the RF 28-70 f2. It’s my workhorse lens. The image rendering from this lens is prime-like wide open at f2. Yes, you can get sharper images from a prime, but having that flexibility of the zoom with beautifully rendered images makes this a hard proposition to pass up. This also comes from a guy who also likes longer focal lengths. The 70-200 is where I like to reside in preferred focal lengths, but the RF 28-70 still wins the spot on my camera much more of the time because of it’s bigger flexibility. Great vid, love the street photography series you do.

Thanks so much for the comment and sharing your experience with the 28-70! And also thank you for taking the time to watch! I've never really been excited this focal length, but after using it I really enjoy how versatile it is.
