I haven't watched the entire series of Harry Potter since Alan Rickman passed away. I watch one here and there still. When I saw the clip you had of Maggie Smith I got a little teary. Congratulations on finishing your school work and it's nice to have that feeling that everything you have left to do is just a cherry on top. Also congratulation on figuring out Work Day and the evaluation system. When we had our first annual review at the hospital things didn't go quite that well, but now we all know, so it should get better (I hope). Everyone at work hates Work day by the way, though it sounds like you got a lot more training on it than we did They assigned us the Workday journey, and it took maybe 30 minutes, and that is it. Glad your day turned around, and watching a nostalgic movie is the best way to finish off the day.

I've had to put the HP marathon on pause, I'm just not feeling it this year. So far Workday hasn't been a headache for me yet. I'm sure it will get worse, but in my role I rarely interact with out HR software.

🧙🔮✅ Random but - I'm sure you're used to my randomness by now - I LOVED how you greeted us after the hike then showed the hike as you did voiceover before cutting back to you talking about the hike :) Not sure if you were experimenting with a new vlog style but I really loved it! Seeing that London Christmas mug - especially after watching the Vlogmas 2022 where you just bought it - made me go, "hey, that's the mug from the 2022 vlog, cool!" :D It made me feel like a KZbin time traveller! I gotta say, you never disappoint with background music! As someone who appreciates the little things normally overlooked in videos like background music, production, editing, subtitles, intros, etc. I see you, Andrea and thank you :) This is why your vlogs are the BEST! I've never actually seen Harry Potter nor read the books. Anytime something's really popular, I'm not interested. If I watch it, it's because I WANT to. One day though, I might bite the bullet and watch the movies but only for research purposes since many writers use Harry Potter as a blueprint for YA fantasy series. Speaking of watching popular movies, I've heard so much about "The Christmas Prince" movies but was determined not to watch it because I didn't think it'll live up to the hype. However, I did "drink the Kool-Aid" and ended up watching it today and thoroughly enjoyed it - Hey, a woman can change her mind :)

It did end up being a bit of an experiment lol, I was going to just have a few seconds of hiking footage but then I ended up getting way more than I wanted to have play without doing an intro first. I'm glad you like it! And I love that seeing the mug made you feel like a youTube time traveler. :) And omg, I can't believe you didn't watch The Christmas Prince when it came out! It's classic cheese Christmas romcom! The second and third one just get sillier but I still love them. :)

Our students had finals last week so they're all gone and will start again on the 13th. As library staff, I've had to work this week. I'll be off starting Monday, and then I'm taking the Thursday and Friday of the first week on January off so I won't have be back at work until the 6th. Two full weeks will be nice :)

We start on the 13th as well. It's going to be here before we know it. That's great that you have next week off until the 6th. There are some staff at my uni who only have half of Christmas Eve and all of Christmas day off. I'm surprised the whole uni isn't just shut all of Christmas week.

I'm not that fussed about the books but omg I love the movies. The cast is truly phenomenal. :) The first couple are very nostalgic and have that late 90s feel as far as the special effects, and the last few are really beautifully done. It's also fun watching the kids grow up over all the films.

Both a student and a teacher (sometimes). I'm taking classes at one of the local community colleges for fun. Today is the last day of winter break, and I think it started Dec. 21st. I'm a substitute teacher when I feel up to it (health stuff has made it difficult to work in my previous career) for the school district that my kids are in. They've been back for a couple of weeks.

Being a sub is so hard, I have friends who've done it. Good for you for taking classes at your local CC! I've wanted to do that but haven't been able to fit it in my schedule. I know I'd want to go in person and not online but I worry it would just become "one more thing" on my plate.

I've only seen the Harry Potter movies once 🙈 wasn't allowed as a kid so I watched them when I moved out. I missed out on all the nostalgia for them. But I love watching Netflix cheesy holiday rom coms during this time of year

It’s amusing listening to you complain about the weather because I live in Canada, and it was -30 degrees Celsius today with a mighty snowstorm! I spent the whole day daydreaming that I was in Arizona instead of here. 😂

I really wish I could trade. Although even I say that -30C and a snowstorm is only nice if you can stay indoors for awhile, and I bet you get tired of it. But it sounds like heaven to me. :)
