Another fun detail from Practice Makes Perfect. It's Jesse leading the massive squad of clones that Ahsoka and Rex have to fight off during Order 66. The same clone who "really tagged her" in her first session.

Not just Order 66, but it's how she survived the cloner toppers when she got framed for murder. So much better than plot armor saving her or the clones being hesitant. She's just that good. Better than most older Jedis.

Poor Dooku, everything culminates to his fall. Qui Gon was just the last straw for him. The Council not heeding the warning about darkness, therefore not taking the Sith threat seriously and allowing Qui Gon to go to Naboo with only Obi wan. Resulting in his death. His decision of leaving the order and letting Qui Gon go is the only "choice" that he has. The animated Star Wars stuff just makes you so sympathetic to a lot of the "villains" Even the last song is titled "Dooku's Fall" Can't wait to see your future stuff

If you're wondering about Yaddle in the films, she's on the council during episode 1 but then she's not at Qui Gon's funeral at the end, and never appears again. So I think it's a reasonable story to have her step down from the council, and then be killed, because then the jedi wouldn't be as concerned with her disappearance (probably thinking she furthermore just left altogether), but still explains why she's never seen again in canon.

In my eyes Ahsoka Tano is the ultimate badass Jedi/former Jedi. As a teenager she was thrust into the Clone Wars. While she obviously had great training by Anakin Skywalker her abilities and wisdom has made her that ultimate badass. As a teen she fought in countless battles and lived. Even in defeat she still lived. She also died and was resurrected with the spirit of the Force Sister/Daughter instilled inside her via transference by Anakin. She fended off many troopers and law enforcement when she was falsely accused of murder by the council. She wisely chose to leave the Jedi Order over the Council's hypocrisy. She lived on her own for years or even a decade without further Jedi training. She took on and defeat multiple Inquisitors. She defeated Darth Maul in lightsaber combat. She defeated many clone troopers and survived Order 66. She even stood her ground and hurt Darth Vader in a duel. She became a leader within the Rebel organization. There was nothing she couldn't do or wouldn't try to do.

I know this is late, but I think that Episode 4 really shows how genius Palpatine is. He's always questioning loyalty, because his master got too comfortable and Palpatine was able to kill him. He doesn't let himself believe that anyone on his side was so loyal they wouldn't betray him. That's the way of the sith to betray your master and become the master.

Ahsoka is the best example of a character winning the audiences. I remember back in 2008 in that Clone Wars movie when she was first introduced - everybody and their mother hated her. I saw it in theaters. Everybody called her as useless and unneeded character. Now she's among the most beloved. Same with Hayden's Anakin.

Oh dear, where to begin.... Great reaction as always, this is myy second favorite reaction you have done (Top Gun Maverick is #1) 1x4 - you were certainly not alone in choking up when Master Yaddle raised the gate and the force theme came on..... 1x5 - I love that you start with "Still on Coruscant, let's get back to Ahsoka", and less than 10 seconds later.... Wish granted 😀 and Anakin saying to Ahsoka: "This is about life and death, and as your master, I'm responsible for you. The best way i can protect you, is to teach you how to protect yourself" is just so foreshadowing.... No doubt in my mind, that this lesson literally saved her life during order 66!!! So thank you for that Anakin👍 and you were definititely not the only one who got "order 66" vibes from that session.... I got one hella choked up, when her and Rex went through the door and I saw all the clonetroopers with Ahsoka helmets on.... Took me right back to clone troopers 7x9.... I miss the clonetroopers too (you are right, that is a strange thing to say.... 1x6 - I was surprisingly unaffected by seeing the funeral procession and Bail.... and the fight against the inquisitor was surprisingly short.... But that just goes to show how extremely good Ahsoka is.... Now I don't know where she is in this episode, but it could be on Raada, which is where she gets the crystals to her two white lightsabers, that she wields in "Rebels". But she gets those from the sixth brother, during the uprising of Raada... My first thought was that this was where she got the crystals for her white blades.... I HOPE that we get to see Ahsoka acquire the crystals either in "BB season 2" or "Ahsoka", and perform the purification of them to turn them from red to white.... I think that would be a total treat for any Star Wars fan to see... I absolutely love "Clone Wars" and "Rebels" too. It can be good entertainment for kids, but if you are an adult Star Wars fan, there is just so many more layers to those shows, that kids are unaware of. So much information and additions to the lore.... Though I must admit, my favorite cartoon SW-show is Bad Batch, I just love the team (and I'm still hoping Crosshair's coming back, even if "good soldiers follow orders"). Thank you - thank you - thank you for doing this reaction (and for loving all the same characters that I love) 😀😀 and sorry this got to be such a long post.... But when you love Star wars, this can happen 😂😂

We've been told that Andor is being told in consecutive story arcs as follows: 1-3, 4-6, 7, 8-10, 11-12. So mostly three-episode story arcs, but Episode 7 is a standalone representing a turning point, followed by another three-episode story arc, followed by a two-episode conclusion to the season. Probably, this is how you want to divide up your reactions if possible.

Plo Koon was the Jedi who found Ahsoka. She was three at the time, so I don't think the Togruta contacted the Jedi, but Plo just stumbled upon her. The usual recruiting is done by the Jedi Seekers, whose sole purpose is to find young Force sensitives. Throughout history, said recruitment has sometimes been voluntary and sometimes by force, no pun intended.

1:04 In Ahsoka's case, her people were shown to be one with the world. That animal gave it's life so that the village could eat. It makes sense to assume that they'd give up Ahsoka so that she could bring balance to the galaxy, no? Even the people of Tatooine knew what Jedi were, and the Jedi were known to be as fair negotiators, they were respected. I don't recall hearing the Jedi taking a child by force, parents could say no, right? But becoming a Jedi was seen as a very high honor, so many likely didn't. The Jedi temple was full of Jedi, so people did indeed surrender their own children to answer to a higher calling. 10:42 Yeah, she was there and then she wasn't. I think must of us just assumed she had died off screen, but she was never heard from or seen again. I'm glad that we got a definitive answer about her fate and got to see her in action, albeit very short. 10:54 LOL, patience. A series called Tales of the Jedi would always have to tie back to Coruscant, wouldn't it? It is the home of the Jedi. 16:29 These six shorts are nothing short of perfection! The team behind these stories, animation, etc. made every second count. I'm so happy we got them, and I hope they aren't the last. I would absolutely love to get a Tales of the Sith as well, even if it was only about Palpatine. 22:40 The Jedi turned the back to Dooku, he was a pariah among his own peers. What else was he to do? He told us here, how he tried to warn them of the rising darkness, but they all ignored his warnings. Dooku was pushed to the only force wielder that shared a hatred towards the Jedi, and that was Palpatine. Dooku saw himself as an equal, which explains why he spoke to him the way he did when arguing about Maul killing Qui-Gonn. Like Anakin, however, Dooku bought into Palpatine's lies. He didn't realize he was lied to until the moment Palpatine had Anakin kill him. Anakin had a similar realization of his own, and that was the moment he stopped Mace Windu from taking Palpatine into custody--we see him question what he had done out loud. We see Anakin shedding more of himself on Mustafar where he's ordered to kill all that were in league with the Emperor. Anakin was well beyond the point of no return, or so he thought anyway. We see tears run down his face, but we also see him dig his heals in while he tries to justify his colossal mistake. Dooku brought about the end of the Jedi and its rebirth. Before he came around, the Jedi were doing the things they had always done for generations, no changing a thing. Dooku tried questioning those teachings and got pushed aside. But his ideals got passed down to Qui-Gonn who passed them on to Obi-Wan who passed them on to Anakin who passed them on to Ahsoka. Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan both adhered more towards the Jedi teachings, Obi-Wan moreso. Qui-Gonn still challenged the council, as we saw in TPM, but he didn't grow to hate them as his master did. Qui-Gonn became a maverick Jedi, while Dooku became more and more disinterested until he eventually left. Obi-Wan was more aligned to the council, which is why he was able to get seated while his master couldn't. Still, he at times, would bend the rules, within reason, to produce a favorable outcome--his soft spot for Anakin encouraged that. I think Obi-Wan's tight adherence to tradition is why it was so hard for him to commune with Qui-Gonn. It wasn't until he let the past go, did he make his break through that finally allowed him to see what he couldn't before. Ahsoka is what Dooku wanted to be and what Qui-Gonn hoped Anakin would some day be. Ahsoka absorbed everything Anakin taught her, but she often saw the faults in his ways and called him out on them. And unlike Anakin would couldn't let things dear to him go when the time came, Ahsoka actually could. Anakin's ability to let go of the Jedi and the past, inevitably saved her life. When we see her in Rebels, she says she's not a Jedi, though she still holds their teachings close to her heart and she goes around the galaxy doing a Jedi's work. Still, she isn't a Jedi in the traditional sense. She's something else, but what that is, I don't think has been explained yet. In any case, she is strongly connected to the light side of the Force.

In the lead up to ROTS, I seem to recall there was a Holonet News thing on the official Star Wars website that had in-universe stories. One ongoing story was of a child rescued from some disaster and taken in by the Jedi due to being Force sensitive. When it was learned that the parents had survived, there began a custody battle, and this was not good PR for the Jedi.

We definitely needed more fleshing out of Dooku’s character. A former Jedi master, let alone the master of Qui-Gon Jinn, just up and joins Palpatine in his plan destroy the Jedi and reorganize the Republic? And we get little information in the movies. These shorts made Dooku so much more interesting and able to be empathized. I hope we get more on some other characters. I would definitely like more of Qui-Gon.

It seemed strange to me that nobody kept track of deletions from the Jedi archive...or even that archive data could be deleted (what the hell is an archive if data can be deleted?). In "Practice Makes Perfect," it was not only Anakin's training that helped Ahsoka to survive. It was also the strong bond she had forged with Rex as well as the information Fives had given Rex about the inhibitor chip. Because of both factors, Rex was able to resist the chip long enough to warn Ahsoka, giving her critical seconds to react. Did you notice that in the last of the training sessions, it was Rex in his two-gun stance who finally stunned Ahsoka, and Rex was in that same two-gun stance when he was fighting the chip. I will say that "Practice Makes Perfect" is also my favorite of these episodes. Yes, we do know for sure the live-action Ahsoka series will have flashbacks to a younger Ahsoka...they have announced the actor they have cast as the young Ahsoka. Had you noticed that Rex has been retconned into Return of the Jedi? A fan noted that one rebel seen briefly in the battle of Endor looked rather like Rex in Rebels, and that idea took hold among the fandom. In the last season of Rebels, Feloni presented Rex in the same Endor combat outfit as worn by that RotJ character.

Even though i like Ahsoka, for me, the Dooku arch is the most awesome. I feel more connected to him, his way of thinking and why he did what he did.

I think I was excited about getting more Ahsoka. But I definitely am grateful for the backstory on Dooku and those blanks being filled in. It makes him a whole character instead of just a “bad guy”.

I really hope you do post your reactions to the rest Andor. It is the best Star Wars on any screen since Rogue One. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy episode 4. It's true it was mostly an episode to set things up and not much happened, but I wasn't bored in the slightest and it flew by. The dialogue and interpersonal drama was very engaging for me. Keep it up. It gets even better from there. Episode 6 is a masterpiece.

Dooku finding out that Qui-gon was killed and that the Jedi Council did nothing about it is one of the things that helped turn him to the dark side....or so legends would have us believe. Yaddle agreed with Dooku, but was too late convincing him of that. We only briefly saw Yaddle in the Jedi Council in Episode I. And I loved Episode 6 in this mini-series. Not only did Ahsoka join the Rebellion officially, but we got to see here take out an inquisitor in the process.

Yaddle disgreed with the council so the corrput and arrogant jedi didnt even bother investogating her disappearance properly. So poetic. Dooku was definitely right he just joined an evil greater evil in pursuit of peace.

This whole show feels like a letter from lucasfilm to the world, like Dooku and Ahsoka, we're all facing rising darkness in the world, and like Dooku and Ahsoka we all have a choice to let ourselves be consumed by it, or to face it head on.

@@funnylilgalreacts which episodes of each character do you like the best and why? For me for Dooku it is episode 4 because it shows his complexity and that he genuinely believes he's a good guy and is doing the right thing. That he did have conflict over what path he was going down, and how perhaps Qui Gon's death was the final push for him to leave the Jedi order. For Ashoka definitely episode 6 because it sums up everything she is and what I love about her. She's a highly skilled bad ass and that despite leaving the Jedi, she kept her moral code and stays in the Light. She still helps people and defends the innocent. MOST Jedi that leave the order often turn to the Dark side or are "gray" Jedi at the very least. But with our girl she doesn't let being disillusioned with the Jedi make her any less noble and that's why she's one of a kind

Seeing Asoka practice against the Clone Troopers. And then transitioning to the going into to facing all of the troopers... so good. And Andor is a slow burn in the same way that Kenobi was rushed. Andor exists in 3 episode arcs. It is really good but I agree the exposition is a bit much at times. I hope you do it in 3 episodes at a time reactions. :)

My favorite moment of the series: Ahsoka mastering the Inquisitor. THIS IS A JEDI! My main fear: Disney insisting that the upcoming Ahsoka series be entirely fit for five year olds, because it is a Disney product. My main disappointment: Yaddle missed the one true opportunity of the series to "report back to the Council." To stay and fight in that situation . . . Loved your reactions, of course. Take care.

I personally want to see young Kanan in season two...maybe even some young Kylo Ren. I sorta hate his character, but I never liked Dooku before now either, right? I love how Anakin's harsh training was what let Ahsoka survive both being framed for murder and Order 66! So much more satisfying than "plot armor" protecting a main character. The more we see of Bail Organa, the more I like him. Co-founder of the Rebel Alliance, father, leader. I'd love to see Rex taking Wolf to that desert planet for "retirement" between CW and Rebels.
