Even though there is a huge competition about Travel Tips for Venice, you guys are by far the standout in putting such an interesting list together! We didn't go to the top of the tower, but so happy you were able to share with us. We enjoyed our very own walking tour along with getting lost on the small streets, but also visiting Burano too! This really is such a wonderfully indepth guide of such an iconic city! The architecture really is so wonderfully unique! And I'll definitely have to follow your tips! I think its always a good idea to step outside your comfort zone when it comes to food, and no better way to do that than by taking a tour! And definitely a good idea to get a budget rooftop view! i came back from a 5 day trip in venice three weeks ago, and my heart still aches that i had to leave. i really agree with the dolce vita approach, although we did quickly visit rialto and piazza san marco at the last minute, just to make sure we wouldn't have any regrets once we left. unfortunately, we are both allergic to sea food (which i remember loving), so we had to miss out on that. and no, it's not embarrasing that you had 5 times a dish that you enjoyed, - what a silly idea to be embarrased about it!
