Love Peter Frampton!! In 1977, I saw Frampton live opening for KISS with Cheap Trick at the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles! What a show! He was so good that I bought the Frampton Comes Alive 2-album set!! Do .. BABY, I LOVE YOUR WAY and Cheap Trick’s SURRENDER. 🎉🎉

@JMBoy TV ... In 1976 Frampton came to our NWMSU college auditorium and it took your college ID and 25¢ to get in. Only Joe Walsh used a throat mic (that I knew of) so to see Frampton doing this was beyond cool. Been a fan ever since. Recommend 2 other songs from his Fingerprints album: Grab A Chicken (Put it Back) and Blooze

That 3-pickup Les Paul he's playing has been through some stuff. It was in a cargo plane that crashed in South America in 1980. Frampton was told everything in the whole plane was destroyed in a fireball. After over 30 years it showed up at a luthier's shop for repairs. The luthier recognized it and contacted Frampton's people. Frampton still plays it and calls it his "Phenix" guitar.

I think it's safe to say you now feel like Peter did, and those of us who saw him do this monster song live. I saw Peter do this song at the L.A. Forum in 1977. Frampton played a guitar solo, then a piano solo, then a drum solo in the same song… a 30 minute version of this song….AMAZING

BTW... Peter was a massive, serious Chick Magnet.... That look and talent together drove the women crazy. His concerts were a ton of fun for sure.

That's for sure. All the girls/women in the audience during Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird performance at the Oakland Coliseum, were there for Frampton. He followed LS with a 2 hour performance. I love Humble Pie when he was part of them before going solo as well. He and Steve Marriott were a great team! I believe Peter was part of the Live at The Filmore album and then left the band.

What this performance is missing is the THOUSANDS cheering like on the album version, actually a better/longer tune with a much longer great piano solo and longer guitar, But with this choice you got to see the band.

this is new to me, so thanks for reacting to it. another master of the talk box, is David Gilmour, of Pink Floyd. his live performance of 'Keep Talking', in the PULSE concert, is amazing. far better than the studio version. he doesn't so much talk through the box, but creates sounds for their emotional impact; which is in keeping with the lyrics of the song

the quality on this is MUCH better on his live album version. MUCH better performance. the crowd was ELECTRIC and his playing was INSANE. I highly implore you to listen to the version from Frampton comes alive. This is good but does not even come close to that version.
