these guys are so confused about the idea and mindset of love. love does not come from nowhere, you the one that build love with the person you want to build with. if you really want a habesha man, set yourself to find a habesha man. go to habesha gathering, event and celebration, you will find tons of habesha man that are glad and willing to find habesha woman. talk to them, be friend with them and create honesty and mutual and common interest with them, after these are the source of love, that is where love comes from. love is not an object or something that comes to you suddenly or randomly, it is you who build love with the person you want to build it with. it requires desire and dedication to accomplish something that is so essential to your life. good luck from eritrean guy!!

Sorry Elsie, but I don’t see the correlation between “being modern” and “dating outside your race.” The preservation of our Ethiopian Identity should be something to instill in the younger Ethiopian generation as opposed to relaying the message that love of self “doesn’t matter.”

I have sooooooo much to say on this topic, but I'll only highlight what I feel is an important point when it comes to the whole idea behind dating and relationships. I have been guilty in the past where I've said that when it comes to dating or marriage in the end, that its got to be strictly with a habesha person/within the culture. I'm glad to say that my mentality has changed because I've started to realise that in life, its going to be hard regardless of what you're doing (regarding the future), and you shouldn't over complicate life by doing things, such as limiting your options, my advice is always try to look for someone who will always support you and love you for who you are and what you do. If said person is habesha, then thats a big W :) I really loved everyones stories and I can sense that they've all got a good head on their shoulders, and clearly know what they're after. Also, intro/outro song is such a good choice 💪🏾❤️ Love, peace and Eskista x

This was a great topic! My parents never had that talk with me about dating and relationships, so they were a little shocked when I dated a non habesha. Fast forward to today, my husband is non habesha. I think it was more important in the end that the person you are with is respectful of your family and your culture, and they are willing to learn and be open minded. My husband can now speak Amharic and even dances eskista 🤣 GREAT VIDEO!!!

It's my opinion. I don't see the reason why an Etiopian can't marry another race. As Bob Marley song, :"one heart one love lets get together and feel alright "

wisdom and discretion based on the Word of God is more beautiful than what’s on the outside! A heart that loves the Lord. Value inner beauty not outer beauty, External beauty will fade, We all know that our physical bodies erode and deteriorate over time-but inwardly, we are daily renewed through the life-giving Word of Christ. each day our inner beauty can blossom. The Bible says that our focus doesn’t need to be our external appearance, but instead we need to focus on having a quiet and gentle spirit. And When you look to find a spouse, look for someone who strives to seek God in all they do. Cultural norms and traditions come and go, But the Word of the Lord endures forever. Early in the relationship connection, express your desire to avoid premarital sex. When you express your desire to want to honor God with your sexuality before marriage, this won’t be a shock to a real Christian. That is just a basic biblical command all true Christians must follow. But if you say this to someone who is just pretending to obey the Bible, they will leave you quickly because they will not be willing to wait until marriage for sex. Someone can deceive you with words. But when you see their obedience to the Lord that matches their words, then you know they are trustworthy. They need to be visibly producing the fruits of the Spirit because this is a mark of a true Christian. Anyone can claim to be a Christian. And we can’t know someone’s heart. So the Bible says we are to evaluate people by their actions. Christians will not be perfect, but they will be bearing fruit that is evidence of their true salvation. Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge."

watching your video,i could predict that habesha diaspora in western country will be lost. and they will end up with mixed heritage and end up identity crises or lost in the host dominant community culture.being modern ,doesn't mean, you can date and get married out side of your race. it means stick your own race and culture. take example of Jewish community,Asian community. are they not modern???? i think habesha community has a totally wrong concepts of being modern. judging from this video and the trend i observing in my city, habesha people will be end up like JAMAICAN people. you will feel the pain after many years later. mixed heritage, belongs to nobody. is just like a man in island.
