3:16 whats funny is when people dont realize upper belts let you work. I had a guy literally monday, white belt maybe 6 months in at most(Im a purple belt for context), I like to get into leg lock positions like heel hooks but I dont finish them on newbies, so we roll and I get into single X and kinda go "Oooo, almost! Someday bud!" And he dead ass looked at me and goes "I dont think heel hooks work on me. (Head instructor) puts me there but it doesnt seem to work so maybe Im immune" Im like ok, you want to see how it feels? He says yes to try so I put on the textbook inside heel hook and he taps immediately! I told him, man somwtimes we are letting you work, head instructor KNOWS how to finish a HH 😂😂

My take on the trial class situation with Joey at 15:00 it may increase show-up rates if you have a calendar booking system that "books people in" for a trial class at a specific time and date, that way people will have a more sense of commitment to show up. It seems counterproductive to restrict your availability but it will probably help. Edit: Yeah Jordan said the same thing at 18:40 and it's excellent advice (in my humble opinion)

I agree with Joey but, one caveat....Motor sports. For whatever reason, too may men who struggle with a merge on the 401 seem to think that they have some natual driving talent and could compete at the highest levels of Formula 1 or NASCAR.

51:02 Id even argue that the best gameplan is the one you actually train. I wouldnt advocate guard pulling in a fight but if youve been training ferociously the arm drag guard pull or something someone untrained isnt going to know what to do when you do it.

Some folks get anxious over training and its creates awkward social situations sometimes. Middle-aged IT guys are a strange bunch.

This podcast is awesome. You all are covering like everything I want to say, but I would get crucified for it on my own channel. 😂. I am GenX too and I am not offended.

Mike Tyson is so overrated. He’s not even a great boxer yet he’s probably the most popular fighter of all time.

He was pretty good I think 🤷. At the very least a very dangerous and intimating man. No offence to Joey but I'd pick Tyson in a street fight lol

Oh yeah, Tyson would be the favourite against Joey. Tyson has size and is undefeated against women Joey’s size. Seriously though, Tyson never beat anybody great, I would say his best win is over spinx. Tyson never came back from losing a fight to win. Tyson was very small for heavyweight and most importantly, he ducked Lennox Lewis his whole life. Lennox Lewis is the reason Tyson didn’t go to the Olympics, he duck Lewis when he was champ and he ducked Lewis just a few years ago when Tyson did his comeback fight against a much smaller Roy jones jr. IMO 90s heavyweights like Lewis and Holyfield were miles ahead of Tyson in every aspect.

Jeeps are basically crappy unreliable vehicles but I like convertible off road a lot. If your so sure mike Tyson is all time great then what’s his best win?
