I love Dan Mann. He’s a great guy! But it sounds like Kelly commissioned him to make him a Tomo style board. “Bullet nose”, Vee bottom, channels, parallel outline, short outline. Sounds a lot like a Tomo Revo but Kelly’s version of it.

Maybe...the outline doesn't seem to resemble a Tomo. I think if Kelly asked 5 different shapers for the same board...5 different boards would be shaped IMO.

The biggest size that's currently available is 6'4'x 20" x 2 5/16" V37.7. We have guys a few guys that ride this volume that are pushing 215. I've never seen them surf but listening to them it seems like they are really good surfers. What is your normal volume? Maybe a Harley Ingleby Mid 6 or Moe might be a really good alternative. The two models are our #1 selling boards for the past 2 years and the last batch we sold out before we even received the boards. This was our fist batch and no one even see the actual boards until they picked it up. That's how popular these things are. Thank you, my normal volume for really weak waves is around 40L and 37 ish for solid waves. It would've been cool to have the length of the board a little shorter with the higher volume. For an FRK+ I would need a 6'4 to compensate my weight. Guess I need to lose some weight. @@hawaiiansouthshore

@@gpecurto No worries, yes for sure he's totally under the radar. FW never really put him in the spot light and I thought that was a totally undeserving. So when he came to our shop just before covid I had an opportunity to sit down and talk story (Hawaii term) and from their I was really stoked to learn so much. Then I did a few zoom calls and each time he's just giving me so much info. Stoked to be able to interview him. Hopefully I asked all the right questions...I notice I said "underside" in the video instead of bottom , I've never said that before not sure where that came from...LOL 🤣
