Funny side story, my dad did a splenectomy on him and once he took out the spleen, the spleen moved a bit and started leaking blood all over the floor. I've been told by multiple people that GSDs are the second biggest victim of crappy puppy-mill breeding behind the lab. The old (expensive) service dog lines are intact, but the pet lines are totally thrashed and non-selective, which has washed out most of the classically desirable temperament - the sole (unintentional) benefit was breeding out the hideously-artificial back conformation of the purebred show dogs.

I love the appreciation for the specific breeds but also the care to detail on what it takes to own them. I love German Shepherds, and have been blessed with a few in my life, but too many people get specific breeds without knowing what it takes to give them the best life. They. Are. Smart. Scarily smart. They will entertain themselves if you don’t, which can often be destructive, or worse, become neurotic and anxious without the proper stimulation. Honestly, as physically active as they are, I think mental stimulation with them might be more important. They are task driven and incredible, but not for everyone. I love this breed, I just hope people who get them from breeders give them a fulfilling life in turn. ❤

She was the sweetest dog, but you didn't dare try to harm myself or my family, OR she became the demon you feared in your dreams. We loved her so much because she was just so loving, loyal and entertaining. And smart... she never wandered too far from home, she could be trusted off a leash around ALL dogs and cats, and she could open/close & lock doors. crying happy tears of beautiful memories. If you ever owned A Germy, you know what I mean by loyalty and tons of love.

She’s just gorgeous when you finished with her, but she almost got upstaged by JoJo and his ducky! :-) Love your channel. Makes me grin!

I instantly liked the moment I saw a long-haired Shedder 😂 I grew up with one from when I was between 5 and 17 years old, and he was the largest, kindest, most intelligent dog i ever had. As a child I could hug him and touch his teeth and tongue and he just knew to be patient with me, even if it probably wasn't his favourite moments, lol. I thankfully know better than to hug the dogs in my life today (for their comfort's sake), but he was so special to me

Groomer here! 🙋♀️ And yes, I dread grooming German Shepherds. Least favorite breed. One split my lip open today. 😅😅😅😅 They are beautiful! But I prefer to enjoy them from a far distance. Lol

I was just about to comment something similar. They are gorgeous and you get some lush ones in. But they can be very unpredictable, I had one that was talking a lot (just like the one in the video) and then out the blue started barking and lashing out at me. Thankfully I moved just in time 😂😅 and another groomer in the same salon got bit in the leg. So you have to be careful. Especially with bigger dogs. X

She's a beauty! I wouldn't give up my German Shepherd for anything. They're the only breed I've had since I was 3 yrs old and in 57 now. We groom our GS's ourselves. They go right into the shower, no problem, and don't whine, just talk 🤣🤣🤣 My daughter is getting a Pembrook Welch Corgi pup next week. They're going to have so much fun. My baby likes to play with smaller dogs.

I grew up with a GSD. My parents had him before they got pregnant with my sister and I. He was the perfect family dog. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for these dogs.

I think you're doing such a wonderful job that I can easily picture this absolutely beautiful dog in a centuries-old majestic painting in a museum...

How pretty! She looked like a lion while u were trimming her nails... and not to miss the famous head tilt! I have a 5yr old German Shedder and Shredder combined and her name is Roxie.

Just wanted to say thank you, as you are one of the very few channels I turn to here on YT when the world and my life get too dark and I need a dose of genuine warmth, positivity and good humour. In other words, your channel is always a welcome tonic. Seriously, thank you. Stay gold, sister, and keep on keeping on. x
