The obvious is that there is only one country in the world with the capability to provide any meaningful support to Poland in the case of war. Not to mention the fact that Polish and American ideals have aligned since inception. The United States, which is without territorial ambitions, is unquestionably the greatest guaranteer of sovereignty for Poland. Quite frankly, what is the downside?
