Yes he is. Knowledgeable, seen active service, knows first hand about the horrors of war. A skilled negotiator who understands what behaviours prohibit any chance of progress being made. He's entirely correct in saying that the protestors have lost sympathy for their cause by knowingly including pro Hamas extremist elements. Using Armistice Day was nothing less than a provocation, fingers up to the British, we've got the right and fk you lot if you don't like it cos we're doing it. It was a very bad move on the organisers' part. It must have been known, surely that going ahead would seriously anger the majority of decent British people. Begs two questions. There is no link, many actually wanted to attend rememberance services for vets 1st to honour vets who died in WW2 (which inludes many of their grandparents & Palestinian soldiers as well as many othr soldiers from commmon wealth countries who risked the lives to save Britain in their time of need) Then to honour living vets and people who are under siege & being genocided now, like Jews were in WW2, they planned to go on the peace march afterwards. But metpolice made the decision to ban them from attending the rememberance service or going anywhere near it because of the racist, islamophobic assuption that any pro palestinian supporters there would be against the service for some reason, disrupt it and vandalise the cenotaph, when there was never any threat to do so. The far right yobs were the ones they should have worried about. The palestine protesters went out of their way not to disrupt remembrance services, the march began an hour after they ended and was on a route nohere near the cenotaph.
