“She Stands Up For Women’s Rights” JK Rowling Called ‘Britain’s Nastiest Novelist' Over Gender Views

Supporters of JK Rowling are in uproar after a magazine branded her ‘Britain’s nastiest novelist'.
A piece in the New Statesman argued that the Harry Potter author has become a “liberal pariah” following tweets about the transgender debate.
Rowling, who is a firm believer of biological sex, refuses to acknowledge preferred pronouns, tweeting: “I’ll happily do two years in prison if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex.”
Fans have slammed the article calling it “misogynistic” and “unhinged”.
TalkTV’s Ian Collins, who is joined by social commentator Jess Gill, backs the author, saying: "She's a thoroughly decent person, writes great books and she's absolutely correct on this issue."

There's been a war on men for over 30 years, this wouldn't have occured if men's spaces weren't destroyed. It's a direct result of demands for 'equality' and male disempowerment. Misogyny? I come from another language where the grammatical gender has very little impact on the sex - he / she / it might be used on anyone or anything just by choosing the right context for YOUR preferred pronoun: so any HUMAN is "he" / PERSON is "she" / a~hole or (doubios) subject is "it". It seems quite sexist to attribute gender-roles of the past hundred years to a sex that needs to be aquired before you are allowed to try out those professions. Cooking is "for women", although all the star-chefs look male (never heard of one, that claimed to be non-binary - because Bocuse was French) - and if all stuff sciency and technical is consideted "male", the feminists should stay away from poking into history to find the women who helped progress along (they probaly were NEVER female in the first place). And ruling a country is men's work - proof: neighter Elizabeth I nor Angela Merkel had children of their own (if you can't become a mother, you are probaly a man, that just identifies as a woman... by the new standards, anyway). Look at the Loretta skit in "The Life of Brian" (sex is just for reproduction, and the body you are inhabiting is perfectly tuned to fullfill "his" part in the normal biological way) - gender-issues are something for your spare time (decadence = too much leisure time at hand: let's invent problems that were never discussed before)😂

Me too. I won't play the pronoun game. Just as religion is a personal choice. If someone wants to see themselves as something that's up to them, don't you can't force the rest of us into your beliefs/fantasy. You can't change sex- even with surgery and hormones. Absurd. Rowling is a hero to all women who've pulled themselves back from ruin and despair and abuse and loss and persisted until the world heard her stories. And they are stories that celebrate the outcast, the oddball, those who are different and misunderstood. Her novels repudiate evil ideas of racial purity and authoritarianism, inhumanity, cruelty and oppression. She is the first writer for young people who wasn't afraid to teach them about death and loss and grieving--she did it the way a good mother would: with truth, with compassion and wisdom. To take that away from the generations of young people who found inspiration in those stories is worse than anything Rowling has said in defense of her sex.

I have no problem with a trans person I know personally being in the ladies with me. But .... and here's the big thing ... I know her.
