As a man that has gone through divorce, I can fully attest that the courts are FULLY behind the women. I once spent over an hour in court and was being grilled non-stop by the judge. After literally 55 mins I straight asked the judge if she was going to ask my ex wife ANY questions at all??? The judge asked TWO questions and then closed the court session. It was unbelievable. My ex had emptied ALL the money, home assets, everything. When I protested that I had NOTHING, the judge just dismissed me saying if I didn't like it I would have to formally object. The legal fees were enormous. The ex had no problem paying as she had all the money! I will NEVER get married again. It's a rigged system against men. 100%.

What I was told was that she’d given up her career to support me in mine and that’s why she ended up with a more generous settlement. Additionally, I had to pay £1600 a month in spousal maintenance so she could sit on her backside and do nothing to support herself. Is the little girl in your profile picture a child from this relationship?!?!? ... If so that would make it extra hard. Break ups are infinitely worse when kids are in the mix. IMO a dude's ability to get over an ex depends upon what he reflects upon. Life always has ups and downs. It sounds to me like you are in constantly replaying memories of the "Good Times" (Warning: This advice gonna be a bit DARK) The smartest women will manage their behavior to get what they want, including keeping the man around who suits her needs at the time (aka wearing the Mask). The person you remember IS NOT necessarily the real person. Make a concerted effort to think back to (perhaps just a handful of) times where she said something (even teasingly) insulting, mean or disrespectful. Alternatively, remember what she did or said during the break up. THAT was probably the REAL person that she is!!!! Dwell upon those times/incidents until those memories are equally balanced with the good times. Then you'll be able to move on

@@stephiegetsit I see your point and kyle's point. However, I have to say that there are not a lot of women with character and morals these days. Many women (before they are even consider marriage these days) go out these days have already racked up double-digit sexual partners before they hit 20. Compare that to when I was in college. I dated two women that were virgins in college (and one of them stayed that way until marriage). That was not uncommon 30 years ago. Good luck finding that now with a culture that wildly promotes ratchetness, hot-girl summers, and all forms of debauchery. I miss the good old days when most women were far more disciplined about sexual partners. In my time, the most you had to worry about was a woman that had a serious boyfriend in high school and/or college--and these were her only sexual partners. Do not get me wrong. You had a few back then that were promiscuous but everybody knew who they were. Now, it is hard to tell them from everybody else. Also, some women do a great job pretending to be the person that you want them to be when they are seeking commitment. However, once they get the ring or have a child for you, they default back to their old wiring or factory settings before they wanted a commitment.

Married for 58 yrs now, my husband's health is failing. I look after him - we've always been a "team". If we've had a bad day and he's driven me mad, before I go to sleep at night, I get out an after-shave stick from my bedside drawer. This fragrance instantly "transports" me back in time to our twenties when we were madly in love. He was tall dark and handsome and had a voice like Gregory Peck. I have always felt safe in the world with him. I was a blonde 5ft 2" (5ft 6" with my high-heels on). We made quite a glamorous couple then and loved being together. He always wore that particular after-shave (still made today) and that fragrance reminds me of how happy I was to marry him back then. I got the man of my dreams - and mustn't forget that, despite the onset of old age.

I’m a 34 year old male and recently divorced. My marriage lasted all of 5 months before my ex decided to pack up and leave at the first sign of adversity. Women have no commitment in this generation. As a pharmacist, I am just going to continue to build my wealth, workout, and retire early. Sadly, this will result in no children, but I certainly will not place myself into a position again to have half of my earnings taken for alimony and child support. I skipped marriage, I retired a multimillionaire at age 40. All my friends are either divorced or in the process of divorce, and basically broke. They all spent their time and money renovating houses for their wives and vacations, then when divorce happened she took it all. I spent my time sleeping with random women when I wanted to, and the rest of my time was building a real estate portfolio and a business. I still enjoyed great sex, lots of fun memories, but I also built something that is making my life better today. All that time you spent with your ex-wife is a total 100% waste, you'll curse those memories and hate them after a nasty divorce. All that time you could have been building a business, making money, etc. When you consider the real cost in terms of your time and how much $ she stole in the divorce, a failed marriage costs MILLIONS for the average guy.

Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a noble prince. One day, the prince thought he would do the right thing, and asked the beautiful princess to marry him. She said no. So the prince always had lots of money, drove fast cars, drunk lots of beer, went out on the town to all hours, and went fishing with his mates whenever he liked. And the prince lived happily ever after. The End

My parents have been married for 50 years and my father has been unfaithful for the majority of that period… my mother is faithful but has been left mentally unstable and exhausted while my father has been abusive and a violent alcoholic. Some people are lucky and some aren’t when it comes to marriage. Signing a contract with god and abusing it probably won’t help get you into heaven.
@1951JULY9 ай бұрын
Sjoldschool Marriage is a Covenant, you make your VOWS before Almighty God who hears every word that’s uttered and the congregation are witnesses to every VOW you speak, everybody will stand before GOD one day and all will be judged for there wickedness, there unfaithfulness, fornication, adultery, lying, stealing, all will be judged unless the realise that Jesus died on the Cross for their Sins, Jesus paid the price, we are all Sinners, we have all fallen short because we are all sinners. Unless we believe that our Father sent His Beloved Son Jesus Christ to take the Sin of each and every human being, Jesus was obedient until death on the cross, it is done ! but death could not hold him for HE rose again and is seated by HIS Father in heaven, HE is coming again very soon . Our sin separated us , but through the blood of Jesus Christ we can be reconciled to Our Lord by admitting we are a sinner and asking for forgiveness of our sins and we can be followers of Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit and Baptised total submission under water, death to our old life and all our sin washed away as we come out from the water a new Born Again follower of Jesus Christ ! Hallelujah 🙌🏻🙏

Enjoyed the bantering. Pearl, you are a star. Sensible and what I've heard, coming close to the biblical concept of a woman and her role in society. Children needs a father and mother (preferably within a stable marriage) to grow up a balanced (or as far as possible) person. As for social media - you can make a choice - you can allow it to control you, or you can do the controlling. I have a old small dumb "Moses phone" (Nokia). I cannot even take a photo. However, I do have a goodish Canon camera with a 300 mm lens. And yes, a laptop to do something more that my old Moses phone. I've decided to experience reality through what I do and not through social media.

Men cheating and women cheating are not the same. The implications for each is different b/c men and women are not the same. We are different. Way too much to get into here. Just investigate. We are motivated differently for our relationships and functioningly are different inherently in romantic relationships in function, drive and purpose.
@rettbutler13127 ай бұрын
@DFDX1001 Yet, both are hurt when cheated on and, fortunately, both have the right to know and the right to leave. The significance is not in why they do it but that it hurts both equally and destroys relationships. It's a choice. Most mistresses these days make sure the wife knows, anyway - they want their own shot at his money.

These people don't seem to realise that `marriage isn't dead'. This is primarily a phenomenon of nominally Christian societies. Within Muslim societies, marriage, family life, and moreover large numbers of children are still the norm. What we are witnessing is a demographic realignment as `Christian' culture implodes...

As much as I don't like their religion, I'm not going to run down their culture. It's not their fault we abandoned our faith, families and self-respect but they maintain theirs. Having said that, they'd destroy us in a heartbeat if they ever got the chance.
@dsc32757 ай бұрын
Well, so-called Christian culture doesn't exist. Christians were told that they should be nice, accepting, tolerant, no offensive, and let non Christians run everything, have all of the money and power and be quiet. They bought it and now they have no say whatsoever in what used to be a Christian nation. Islam on the other hand has been intolerant, violent, dominating and destroyed opposition, but they not only maintained power in their countries, they are invading and taking over other countries. It's working for them.
