For me the reason is that their pivotal players are now 30 years old etc etc. NONE of them is a wide player that can widen their play. All these Silva,gundocan, KDB are central players that can carry the ball until they find Haaland. Before years they had Sane n Sterling who d play wide as they are fast enough. Completely agree.I’m a Forest supporter and we finished 3rd in the Premier League in 1994/95,but when we sold Stan Collymore to Liverpool the following season,it fractured the team and it wasn’t easy to adapt after he’d been our talisman all of the last season.I just think Pep has to fight through this and not make excuses.He’s always had managerial success and now he’s going through a bad time.Loads of managers have been through this.Brian Clough,one of the greatest manager’s of all time took us down in his final season in 1992/93,but us Forest supporters didn’t hold it against him.We cheered him through that dreadful season,because we knew what he’d done for us.Mancini started the ball at City rolling,with Pellegrini keeping it going,but Pep has brought absolute success to City.Only two managers have done the treble in English football.Sir Alex in 1999 and Pep in 2023(and he did the domestic treble in 2019).They can still win a trophy or two this season,but he’s got to believe in himself.He’s too good a manager to let this carry on.

Stick Gvardiol and Walker outside as wingbacks they both can't defend at the moment, flood the midfield with bodies (Kovacic, Foden, Nunes, KDB) so theyre close together and a back three Diaz and perhaps the academy kid Pussey and one more. This will at least plug the weakness. Theyre too open in midfield.
