@@riverdean7 You can look at what you said with a completely different view point, a year ago Daniel Dubois was coming off a loss to Usyk and needed to rebuild, Joseph Parker had fought and beat 3 lower class opponents since his own knockout loss to Joyce. Why would he put Dubois in with Parker when Dubois needed to rebuild and Parker was in a low in his own career it wasn't a big fight or significant. Since then Dubois has beaten 3 strong opponents in Miller, Hrgovic and Joshua. Parker has beaten Wilder and Zhang, Dubois is IBF world champion and Parker is WBO interim world champion. The fight is so much more significant and the winner in my opinion solidifies themselves as #2 in the world unless Fury beats Usyk then I would consider them #3. Just on the 5 opponents the 2 fighters beat recently that is a significant portion of the current top heavyweights so who ever wins has significant legitimate claim to their current standing. If that isn't enough for you I believe Parker signed with queensbury earlier this year as well making it an in house fight so albeit Warren's baby, if he was going to risk it all it would be against someone signed to him.

@@leehaslam5751 Firstly, the WBC are corrupt and play hard and loose with their rules, the IBF are sticklers for theirs which is why DD has the belt in the first place. Secondly Chisora wasn't a champion for another body whereas Parker is and being a champion for another sanctioning body means you cannot be ranked by the IBF and the IBF will only sanction voluntary defences against fighters in their top 15. DD can fight Parker but only under one of two conditions: A) The bout isn't sanctioned by the IBF which means the belt won't be on the line (and would probably annoy the IBF) B) Parker vacates his WBO Interim Champion status and hopes (though very likely) the IBF include him in their top 15 at the next update, and loses his mandatory status for a fight against Usyk/Fury

Parker vs Dubois would be an interesting fight. Both are rejuvenated fighters with good momentum behind them. Arguably 3rd best vs 4th best in the HW division. For Wardley, getting Dubois would be too much being thrown in the deep end for him. Get him to fight someone in the tier below, who's also above the level he's been fighting at - Miller, Joyce, maybe even Franklin etc.

Dubois vs Wardley is a good option. Because Wardley is an exciting prospect and likely to make it big. Boxing against Dubois at this stage in his career will give him a taster of fighting on the big stage and when he approaches that stage, he’ll know what it feels like. Wardley has nothing to lose in this fight against Dubois.

Daniel Dubois last 3 opponents have been there to be hit. A.J didn't offer much but Hrgovic and Miller stood there and traded. Parker will not do that. He should be able to outbox Dubois...but it's heavyweight boxing and anything can happen.

It seems a lot of people don't understand how boxing works ; if you're interim champ you can't be ranked within the other divisions so Parker's not a possible opponent for Dubois , not at this point anyway because he's the WBO interim champ (thank you Hatman). Parker could relinquish the WBO interim champ status to take on Dubois but seems unlikely given he has a guaranteed world title shot with the WBO. Warrens already ruled out Wardley and so I think Zhang looks the most likely opponent.

Let’s maybe calm down about on the DDD hype train. Saying Usyk as one of the great runs of recent fights he’s had we have to remember that Usyk stopped Dubois with a jab. So take that name off the list of something to be celebrated. He stopped Hrgovic’s punches with his head. Not knocking the guy and fair play to him for coming back from the Joe and Usyk defeats. But…he doesn’t beat an Usyk or a Fury. The Fabio fight is unrealistic right now. I do agree that the Parker fight might be interesting.

Parker's not dissimilar in style from Dubois himself, though actually I think Parker is better technically. I think Parker beats Dubois. Here's another punt: Fury beats Usyk in the rematch. I prefer Usyk as a man by a country mile, but I think this time Fury is taking him more seriously and his greater physical strength will tell, age notwithstanding.

I think Dubois beats Parker. I don't think Parker takes a big shot well and Dubois isn't a one shot guy like Zhang or Wilder, he'll unload 4 or 5 huge punches. Parker isn't a big power puncher, he's tried increasing his punch by packing on more weight recently but it just slows him down, which makes him easier to hit. To beat Daniel Dubois you need a lot of speed and power and i think Wardley would be the worse opponent for Dubois as Wardley has very fast hands and moves well, he's big, and packs a massive punch too. If i were Dubois looking at Parker and Wardley I'd pick Parker.

Dubois will not be fighting Parker I think, Warren may realise that Parker is the biggest threat out there, nor Wardley as they will be trying to build Wardley up and protect him for a while, Dubois could damage his promotion with a big destruction.
