저는 이 비디오 전말 좋아 요! 매우 도움이 됩니다. Listening to native speakers is an essential part of learning any language. I am very happy with TTMIK and it's learning resources. I'm not sure whether vowels or consonants are easier. I go back and forth having a hard time with each. However 요-- 유 sound about the same when I hear native speakers say them in conversations. They only sound different when a native speaker takes the time to annunciate....... But, I never give up! 감사합니다!

If you do another one of these, could you maybe say the sentence twice instead of just once? It would help a lot! :)

And there are still many uneducated teachers in my country who think are Gods just because they've lived in Korea for a couple of years. I'm a Korean teacher too and have been arguing with them for 2 years and yet they still pronounce 어 as either "O" or "Between O and AA". They seriously need to stop ruining people's pronunciation. They do this for money. I hate them. This video is very helpful. I'm gonna share it with everyone and show them how native Koreans pronounce ㅓas AA as in Father

Is it possible that some words would be pronounced the same, but the context tells you how to write them? We have tons of these in French and I was wondering if you had some in Korean, too... Because to me unKorean ears, two of the pairs were strickly the same sound when I was listening... Could I be right? Or just plain beginner? Thank you for your video!
@khyalis2 жыл бұрын
For me, the brain acted as if it had little boxes that match the sounds of the languages I'm used to. Those boxes may not always line up with the sounds in the korean language, and although there really are differences in the sound, those might get discarded along the way, and thus the information wouldn't necessarily reach the conscious mind. What I "hear" is just which box the brain saw most fit. But over time, it would put up some new boxes and sort sounds into those, and suddenly I would hear differences where before I could not.
@khyalis2 жыл бұрын
(Still, for number 4 it recognizes a difference between a and b, and yet maintains the word sounds more alike to the wrong answer...)
