watching kevin's progression from making pure organic psychedelic rock to the synth-driven pop ballads on Currents is fascinating. Lonerism was the perfect bridge between Innerspeaker and Currents, it made Kevin's transformation seem so, so natural.

I didn’t care much for Currents or the most recent album, but they’ve come to grow on me in a different way than the first two which I instantly fell in love with. Younger Kevin's drums are so bombastic and dominating at times in the unique fills he makes.(Aka, anything before Currents). He has this explosive aura in the drum fills that faded out after Lonerism. Its like after getting things off of his chest and being able to express what he was feeling through his music, he went to a more streamline rhythm, rather than the more unpredictable one he had before.
