Nice work again mate and great tip for sealing the carbon fibre . Just wish the Avante would come down in price. Very nice buggy and well built. Just bought a good vintage Plasma edge with heaps of spares for $250 , looks like it's in good condition. Just wish it was a kit ,I love building these but it's a nice buggy . I'd better go fix my outcast 4s ,wife ran over it with an 8s kraton and busted the front arm. I won't be driving any Tamiyas when she's driving that thing . Better see what this Plasma edge is like and what they say about it. Can't wait to see this Avante done , bet it goes well to.
@RCHobbyShed4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. I hear ya, I'm thinking of buying the Black Special but they're crazy money right now. Cool! The Plasma Edge would be a great runner, I think they still have kits around, or maybe the Plasma Edge II. Haha yeah mate, keep that Kraton away from the Tamiyas, the Tamiya might end up like a Lego explosion. 😂. I will run the Avante but this I will drive it like a sissy, just on grass. Take it easy mate and hope your Plasma Edge goes great! 👍

Nice build! The Avante...that's one buggy that I really wanted as a kid but could never get due to it being way out of my price range since as a kid, all my buggies were squired with my own money. heck even today its up there in price, almost as expensive as my current Associated B74 comp buggy! I may get myself one when (IF) they come back available since your video has me wanting one again lol Anyway cant wait for part 2! Stay well man and be safe!
@RCHobbyShed4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Our stories are the same, the Avante was out of reach for me too until last year and some bills had to wait so I could do that. You're right, the prices are up there will newer racing buggies! I remember looking at the Bruiser way back when and thinking I'll never afford one, here we are 30 odd years later, they've been re-released for a while now and I still can't afford one. 🤣. Part 2 shouldn't be far away. You too mate, stay safe! 🙂👍

Thanks mate. Sorry I only saw your comment now. The body work is done, but I think you saw that. Part 3 will be done today, finally! So the Avante will be complete. Clearly I haven't rushed this one. 😂

Gee that Tamiya's got some class about it! Thanks for the tip on sealing the carbon fibre 👍 Putting the gearbox In upside down haaaa damn lock downs messing with your head 😋😂. If you need a servo for it I can post one to you if you like, I've got a few lying around but I don't think I have any spare receivers. Looking forward to your upcoming vids mate 👍🦘🇦🇺
@RCHobbyShed4 жыл бұрын
It sure has mate! I used to drool over these as a youngster. Haha yeah, that gearbox 🙄. I think I was mentally blank for a few minutes there. 😂. It's ok, thanks for the offer but I did find the servo I bought for it. My receivers are somewhere between Japan and Australia (I think), it's been 2-3 weeks, maybe they went via the Bermuda Triangle?! 🤔. Thanks mate, I've got a couple of vintage unboxings to do which I'm pretty pumped about. Should have a bunch of videos out in the coming weeks. 🙂👍

Very interesting I was lucky enough to get a vintage Avante from Ebay last week its missing a few parts but really in good shape didn't know about gluing the edges do you know if the front and rear axles are the same I am missing the rear dog bones I know they made them a bit different in the rere but I think I can use those axles this is a amazing machine ✌🏻😀🤘🏻👊
@RCHobbyShed4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Yeah the Avante is amazing, like a work of art! Oh nice, a vintage one, I'm very jealous! Yes, the front and rear axles are the same in the rere so you should be fine to use those axles. 🙂👍

Nice work, should the front ball ends be tightened against the stabiliser guide or should the guide move? Stuck with this issue
@RCHobbyShed3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Mine are tight. There's no real need for them to move, so tightened mine up. Plus if the lock nut is left lose, the ball ends might also become lose.Hope this helps. 👍
@karmashift2484 жыл бұрын
Sir. What do you think about AVANTE' s Planetary gear differential & AVANTE BLACK SPECIAL' s ball differential. I mean the difference.
@RCHobbyShed4 жыл бұрын
I can't really say as I haven't run mine yet and don't have a Black Special to compare it to (yet lol). I'm sure the ball diffs give some extra adjustability but the geared diffs may be better in the case where a brushless motor might be used. 👍
@karmashift2484 жыл бұрын
@@RCHobbyShed THANKS~~ extra adjustability! 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
