When you opened the box, I just wowed on how glorious that blister packaging was. It brought back so many memories.
@Matteomeier6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, the nice blister packs from the good old times. Nice they have it now at least for the Avante! 😊
@kodoyama7 жыл бұрын
So good to see that Tamiya have listened to the fans/collectors and gone back to the old school blister packaging. Really makes me want to start collecting the reissue kits now.

This is a re-edition of the Avante from 2011. Hope they will do it on further re-releases too. Unfortunately they dit not it on the Bigwig 2017.
@kodoyama7 жыл бұрын
That's too bad, but hopefully they will start doing it for more of the re-issues. I'll definitely be picking up this one. Looking forward to more build videos!

It's the music that makes me happy. So smooth. So relaxing. Never change. Just received my Avante as well. Looking forward to seeing your finished version. As a couple of other commenters have said, would be great to have you compare the Egress and Avante and also your opinion on your favourite buggy 2WD, favourite buggy 4WD, favourite truck etc.
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your good words, especially about the music! I really have to say your question about my favorite Tamiya is very hard and nearly impossible to answer. Bruiser, Monster Beetle or Hotshot, or Avante... the decision is strongly influenced by the memories of old days in the 80es!

Matteo, I have been wanting to see this Build from you!! 😉 Now I get to see it as an entire Series, the way I enjoy. Thank you for this my friend!! Carmine 🚂🚙
@CarminesRCTipsandTricks5 жыл бұрын
I am only a little surprised that you chose not to use the Threadlock on the Motor or the Pinion Grub Screw. Have you not had problems with them coming looze? As expected, I am enjoying this Series! I hope you do more like this.
@Matteomeier5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Carmine! No, I never use threadlock on the small screw on the pinion. Never had problems with it. I think it can be difficult to re-open the small screw when using threadock...
@CarminesRCTipsandTricks5 жыл бұрын
You're correct my friend. I use a tiny drop of Blue Loctite and wipe most of that off before use. I would never recommend this to someone of little experience! There is no way of knowing how much they will use. You're absolutely right though! In my 38 years in the Hobby, I've only had a Pinion Grub Screw back out ONCE. Still, I like the insurance. 😉

@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's not easy to answer your question. Tamiya have many nice, iconic RC cars. But if I have to mention one I would say the Bruiser, or the Hotshot... or the Monster Beetle.... or... or.... :-)

Hello there, may I ask what's that 'blue' lube that you're using for those screws and what's its purpose?? Anyway this is an awesome assembling video, one of a kind... looking forward to watch the next progress!!!
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your compliments! The blue liquid is Thread Lock, something like a glue to secure screws. It prevents self loosening of screws going in metal.

hello Can you tell me what glue you use?
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
It's not glue, it's thread look. It prevents self loosing of screws. Tamiya offers this product also: www.rcmart.com/tamiya-87004-liquid-thread-lock-p-823.html?cPath=1555_779
