Another great video, Matteo! Really handy hints on applying the large decals and shrinking decals to rounded areas. Thanks,
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matthew! Shrinking the decals is not so easy (difficult to find the correct heat) best way is first to try it on a sample before make it on a real body.

Awesome work!! I discovered your channel and have watching a lot of your videos. I'm barely getting back into the hobby and was a BIG fan of Tamiya back in the 80's. I'm surprised to see Tamiya brought back some old favorites from the 80's and I can't wait to start my collection. Thank you for sharing your videos my friend!!

If i use hair dryer to help apply the decals around the body would it work as good as the heat gun?
@Matteomeier6 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as there is enough heat. I think you can reduce the distance to get more heat.

Looks amazing! Love the fact you have such good lighting in your studio/garage. Great build. I picked up some nice tips along the way, even if I'm not building an Avante. This time it was the black color at the end, and the masking tape to help position the decals. I thank thee. Strange that the bumper was the last step :-)

A childhood car which I could not afford back then. Then got me the 2011 re-release and in 2018 the Black Special, also got the optional Torque Splitter Set #47389 and off course the Racing steering set #47388. All NIB and NIP. Got the Vajra as well as it sits on the same chassis setup. I have the 'cheap' version of the car as a runner and bought it new in 1989, The Vanquish (#58076), still hoping for a re-release though.

Did you paint the wing from the inside or the outside? If from the inside, how did you get good coverage up inside the thin vertical section? When changing the battery, do you have to remove the entire body shell or can it be accessed by only removing the bottom cover? I ask these questions because I will start my own Avante next week!
@DC_Cha_Cha_Cha7 жыл бұрын

Paul Lovell I have about a dozen right now. But let's not derail Matteo's video comments. Matteo is a big inspiration to me!
@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
I paint it from the Inside. It needs a few more layers there. And I 've hold the spraycan a bit closer. The battery can be changed with only remove the under cover, but it's not so easy. Removing the upper body also makes it much more easier. Have fun with your Avante!

@Matteomeier7 жыл бұрын
@Bulletmachine7 жыл бұрын
