Always wanted one as a kid, But i never had that kind of money. One of the first things I bought when I got my first job at 15 was a Clod. great build,review, subscribed!

Thanks! It is such an iconic truck that soooo many of us have drooled over for decades and it still sells like crazy! Appreciate the comment and subscribing! I hope to have new stuff out soon!

I love these kits and I am the same as you, one Clod turned into a crawler and then I bought a anouther to replace that, The Crawler is now going back to original as it was a Christmas gift from my wife and I want to keep it as its a bit special to me.. Imagine being a kit back in 1987 and getting this for Christmas, the size of those tires would of been mind blowing

Unfortunately my crawler is staying the way it is since I threw away all the stock pieces for it when we were in the midst of moving! I had thought about re-doing it but after I source all the parts to make it stock again I could buy a new kit! I totally understand wanting to keep yours as original as that is a great gift and has special memories for ya! I know one guy that had one back in high school in the very early 90s and we were all so jealous of that truck! We would run them in the parking lot at lunch and when he brought his in the whole place stopped and watched it run! I had my Super Blackfoot and it looked like a toy sitting next to it! Only difference he drove his so slow and careful while we were wheelies all the way across the parking lot and crashing into each other. He probably still has his and it is in great condition. I drove mine until it was in taters and sold it like a dummy. Thanks as always for stopping by and checking in!!!

Great stuff! Love the black edition! They didn’t run it very long before you couldn’t get them anymore. Was glad I picked one up.

The are super cool trucks, perfect little replicas of the stiff and bouncy original monster trucks of the 80s! They are great this time of year too as they seem to have been made for the snow!! LOL! I think if folks answered honestly probably 60-75% of folks have probably missed sticking that nut in there! I have built 4 so far and I have done it one every one of them! LOL! Take care and have a great weekend!

Great unboxing brother! I used to drool over having one of these back in the late 80's as well...hahaha. I could only afford one car at a time so I went for buggies because of handling and cheaper price. I will be building one of these hopefully soon as well. 😃 You and me both in the mid life crisis...hahaha.

I pre-ordered mine. I am thinking of installing low profile servo using the 3d parts designed by the rc MOJO and leave the rest in stock.
@AddamsPlayground18 күн бұрын
On axle steering is a lot better than the kind of sloppy center servo design. Well it is more the soft servo savers on both end really. They are just great trucks to just enjoy watching them bumble and rumble around!
@davekim757318 күн бұрын
@AddamsPlayground right on sir. Hopefully the local hobby store will send it to me this time.
@nomusicrc10 ай бұрын
Thank you for replying to all of my comments I have the original clod buster have they improved the steering so it will turn sharper and do they still use those horrible servo savers that are too loose that it won't steer correctly
@AddamsPlayground10 ай бұрын
Not a problem at all! The clods don't steer well at all sitting still but once they are moving it is a lot better. Still nothing beats them lumbering and bumbling along!

I think they are rather hard to find right now but Tamiya had just announce earlier this month they are re-releasing it late this year. Normally around June is when you may start seeing them come out. They should be around the $330 price point. It is a super good looking truck! I love the black chrome accents on it!

have you seen the limited release grey Clod ReRe for pre-order now? it is $40 more expensive - but didnt see any difference other than color
@AddamsPlayground2 жыл бұрын
The is nothing upgraded other than the hobbywing ESC. The teal plastics and the other color changes are all cosmetic. I still want one but just bought another kit so not sure if I can swing another kit at the moment. I do reallllllllly like the looks of it!!!

Nice video! I bought one myself, because I like the Limited Editions . Thanks for the heads up about the stickers. Question? Why do you mount the directional chevron treads backwards? Thanks
@AddamsPlayground3 жыл бұрын
On the crawler it grabs a little better, and looks different. For the regular truck they'll stay in the traditional way for sure. I never glued them so it is easy to swap them around. Thanks for watching!

I like tamiya to relese white edition clod buster soon It should be blak colored 8 dampers and front grill Shoul be white the body and wheels. What do u think ?
@AddamsPlayground Жыл бұрын
That would be pretty cool. A white and black monochrome edition would look really neat!! I know they have done others similar to that.

@@AddamsPlayground Why didn't they not yet relese super clod rtr, xb or x-sa editions then ?
@AddamsPlayground Жыл бұрын
@@buddhinanayakkara778 I have no good explanation... I am much like everyone else and constantly wondering what Tamiya is thinking or doing! LOL! They have always done things their way and march to the beat of their own drum.

Hey I wanted to mention to you to put certain keywords in your video title and try and fit those keywords into the video description. Then also put those tags into the "tags" area in KZbin studio when you upload your vids. It will help your video rank higher and get you more views. I also highly recommend Tube Buddy as a browser extension to help you search for popular keywords. I noticed you have no tags associated with this video. Sometimes youtube will still rank the video high but most times it ends up buried under all the other similar videos by other people.
@AddamsPlayground3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips. I have no idea what I am doing but I am having fun doing it. I'll start adding tags to them and maybe a few more people may see them! Thanks for trying to help out, I really appreciate it!

@@AddamsPlayground No problem. Yes the tags will help people find your vids for sure. I like to help other guys out because I had people helping me too. All the best brother. 😃🍺🍺
