I just watched Rob's video and told him the same, this looked like a lot of fun out bouncing and bumbling around in the sand!! Absolutely Clod-tastic Mark!! Was looking forward to this one after watching both your builds in full. Something so charming about these rigs, as with the lunchbox - Eratic, slow, bouncy.... but soooo much fun! They look so cool to, especially Robs Greeny Hulk livery, man that colour really pops! Must admit, I did cringe a little with all those wheelies after all that time/effort you put into the body shell, was the rear end scuffed as a result? And, how cheeky was Rob driving over you when you were stranded in the hole of doom?! 😂 All this topped off by some first class camera work from the legend that is RC Dom! 👌 My 88 mk1 bow tie custom clod is all completed now (full Alluminium sassy chassis /carbon/upgraded shocks, dual servo on axle steering etc)...... but still haven't had time to build the super clod kit yet, which will be my basher! Have a great weekend fellas, this content is far more entertaining than all that coronation malarkey! 😉 👍 👍 👍 👍

Happy to say that there was zero damage to either Clod and no scuffing - amazing really. I actually egged Rob on to run me over!!! Ah, now this is great fun! Back in the 90s I thought I'd need to tie up a lot of money in NiCads if I bought a Clodbuster, so I went for a Pumpkin, but I always liked the idea of twin motors. Now we can all afford lots of high capacity batteries, those big silver can motors can keep the Clodbusters going all afternoon! You got some terrific shots, like when Rob just ran right over your truck as it was trapped in that nasty rabbit hole!

@@MarkBryanRC Well my friend, I do hope your first experience with a Clod is a good one (Rob too).. There is a reason why I still have a Stock Clod, again, just something about them. 35 plus years old and they still have "That's Cool" vibe to them. I can't say having a modified Clod is more fun, faster, yes; handle better, yes. All that's needed is an axle mounted servo (or 2), 4 link set & oil shocks (95mm to 110mm). I would also recommend wheel wideners (for stock wheels). So much can be done however, NOTHING is wrong with it being stock. Tamiya even fixed the weak spots on the chassis with those metal plates. Agree, the steering is lazy in stock form but do you really need to turn the wheels while its sitting still? I'm going to stop here or I'll be writing a book...
