That car definitely needs to be in a cabinet 🙂 Looks great. I would always tape up the underside of the chassis but found the adhesive residue difficult to remove without fogging the plastic to some degree. But that was many years ago and I was using a specific label removing spray which was probably spirit based. I've since read that vegetable oil is effective without damaging the plastics, although I don't know how true that is. I eventually found that painters tape was the best thing to use. It was applied and removed effortlessly with no residue.

Hi Glenn, lovely buggy. I would be tempted to use some invishield or helitape on the chassis like what mountain bikers use on their frames to prevent scratches from stones and knocks! Think it would work really well on rc's that have a flat bed chassis.....you could even put it on other components that are exposed to scratching and chips too.
@TAMIYALegends5 жыл бұрын
C G That’s a great idea buddy, I’ve used that stuff before on non rc things 😊 Thanks for watching 👊🏻
@cg70255 жыл бұрын
I just got to the end of the video where you mentioned you had taped up the chassis to try and prevent some scratches. The invishield that is used on bikes comes off quite easily without leaving residue, i havent tried to remove any yet myself but apparently just warming it up with a hair dryer helps...and that also helps when putting it on components of an odd shape too as it makes it a more maleable when applying.
