Hello, Franz! Yes, in the 70s I was sometimes taken to school in the back of a 2CV which belonged to a friend of my mother. I loved the way it would lean when we went around a corner. We kids would pretend to be scared, and all shout "Who o o ah!" as it leaned over. In the 80s my wife and I lived in Menorca, and our friend would drive us around the island in his 2CV. I remember the sound of the engine very clearly.

@@TomleyRC You'd think an FWD drag car would be a daft idea as the acceleration would lift the front and you'd just sit there spinning, yet when my wife and I drag race my M03 against my M06, it's the M03 that usually wins, regardless of who's driving which car. The M06 tries to swap ends, while the M03 does spin a bit, but tracks far straighter. So it's actually probably a good idea!

Hey, Rex - thank you very much! I must confess that Tamiya kit parts do leave me feeling confused when I first excitedly tug all the black plastic bits out of their bags. I don't know what to call anything! Tamiya have their own unique way of doing things, and often seem to reinvent the wheel for the sheer joy of redesigning things. Is the M05 a better design than the M03? They're both very quick-steering and prone to vicious lift-off oversteer. Maybe I should race my M03, M05 and M06 against each other! There's an idea for a video...

Nice run too with the fitting French music and voice-over. Lastly I loved the intro with the diecast model masquerading as the Tamiya. That was excellent. Hello! My first Tamiya was a Midnight Pumpkin, so I didn't have to confront the weirdness of painting a shell from the inside till I got an M03. I then did a Kamtec Morris Minor in lexan and a Triumph Stag, so this was my fourth time masking the inside and painting "back to front". I'm glad you liked the run vid - the French phrases idea occurred to me quite suddenly, and I'm really glad I decided to go ahead and try it. Pressing the tiny toy 2CV into service was a sudden idea, too; it was just a matter of finding a very smoothly-screeded cycle lane with the right degree of slope to it. I've got an untouched Beetle body for my M06 - I've been thinking that it might be fun to paint it and do a run vid with it.

Hello, Mark! I'm very glad that you like the "deck chair" paint. I made a cheeky reference to the rumour that certain religious people make love through a hole in a sheet, and I was trying to keep my voice sounding serious as I said it, thinking "here's another innuendo for Mark!" The beige 2CV is a 1:35 scale die cast toy, running down a slope. The idea was to give the momentary impression that this was the finished Tamiya. My wife rolled her eyes at my home-made lingerie shop poster. I even gave the girl in the drawing a pink bum to clarify my schoolboy French. The girl speaking French during the run is, saying ridiculous thingswhich I made up, such as "I don't think there's room for us to do that in this car", "the pen of my aunt is on the writing desk, next to my uncle's lingerie catalogue" and "That's not an umbrella handle - it's the gear change lever".
