+2RCPRODUCTIONS thanks Rich! Of course you get a shoutout. You are the boss man of brushed motor care. I usually buy, destroy, repeat.

+CCxRC ha-ha! alot of people do that one of the reasons I feel is brushed motors were losing alot of ground with the brushless hype. But with the crawler/trail scene exploding I'm starting to see more brushed coming back along with the entry level market vehicles. Just don't let anyone talk you into water break-in. Yeah the water turns dark because because the brush material is coming off.There's nothing waterproof about a steel can motor yeah it will operate under water but once you start getting rust inside building that you can't see its gonna start deteriorating your motor. Once the motor starts corroding then it puts a strain on your electronics hurts performance and eventually burns up. I know some diehards submerge them and I would expect they take extreme care steps after the fact,but the average rcer or beginner just doesn't do that. Sorry for rambling bro lol.

Nice Chris. Was never a big fan of the Unimog myself, but I love kits and watching them take shape is really cool. I would love to see more of the build series videos. Keep them coming 👍

Cutting bodies is painful for sure. Turned out good man. Thumbsup

Advice: i precut body outline with sharp blade, just scrape, not cutting through, then cut starting section with scissors and just peel the rest lexan. It will always break on cut path. Fast, easy and clean edge. No ramming scissors at awkward angles. P.s. I bought unimog cw01, your videos convinced me

nice job my brother tony 👍👍

Great Job Tony.. I found that a dremel with a sanding drum works well after cutting the majority of the lexan off the body with scissors... As another method to try.. :) But the Body and the truck is looking awesome.. Nice work man..

+RcNickster now that's a thought. I've used that to clean up my cuts but didn't thing about using it to cut. I did remember (after cutting) while I was prepping to sand with the dremel that I had purchased a cutting tool for it that they show in use on an RC body. I need to try that on come scraps.

I've found using a hobby knife and scoring the plastic and then just tearing the plastic works the best. It creates nice and clean edges. There's a lot of videos explaining the process.

Hmmm looking good - popcorn was ready just in time :) How about adding an extendable arm on the back of that?? :)
@CCxRC8 жыл бұрын
+Joe Conti what kind of extendable arm? You've got me curious.

oh man! That's what I thought you meant. That or a tow truck arm would look really sick on it. Being a "Wheelie", I'm pretty sure I'd rip it off on a crash though :) I'm going to see if I can take the Tamiya CW-01 chassis to new heights. lol
@JCRC8 жыл бұрын
CCxRC IF you DO go down the road I mentioned, change to a crawler motor - hence, no rolling over lol - keep it to actually tow trucks or lift stuff :) There is a new challenge in that, making the extendable arm ACTUALLY WORK via transmitter .. you might have to go to a 6 or 8 channel TX :) Up to the challenge? It will be a first I guess!!
