I had a toy grade RC when I was a kid that looked a lot like this. I chose it because I couldn't afford a hotshot and to be fair I loved it and it was the fastest thing I'd ever owned up til then. I remember it fondly, it was called the Land Dash by Yonizawa. It was pretty capable considering it was a toy. It took 7.2v Nicad batteries. Any one of the jumps in this video would have broken the front shocks though!

Hi Glenn, The driveshaft that fell out should have been fitted to the front axle. The backs are slightly longer than the fronts and are plain whereas the one you showed on the video had a ridge around the middle which indicates it's a front axle shaft. Apologies if this has already been pointed out or if you've found out yourself. Great video as always, looking forward to the next one. John.

Bloody great as always Glenn👌,so nice to see it running, I do like a shelf queen but it's kind of besides the point of an RC car, those jumps before the driveshaft incident were epic, looked just like a Tamiya commercial. 11/10 for running this thing my friend ✌👊🇬🇧

As an English southern softy, if a Northerner finds it too cold for shorts & T-shirts! Blooming heck, it really must be cold!! Much respect to you Canadians! Nice run, for that snow the stock tires would have worked like a charm... Looks like you may have forgot to put the little foam spacer in the dog bone drive cup they hold the bones from shifting to stop them from being able to pop out. I know another person that had that happen and after telling him about the foam spacers he looked at it and sure enough he said he must have forgot to put them in.

Lover the Super hotshot, not sure why they didn't call the re-re the super shot, like the original though. I run a 16t brushless and it flies, convert it to 2WD by removing the front drive shafts and it's on the verge of being uncontrollable🤣, especially with the bump steer. bloody good fun though.

Fantastic car, and even looks good with the modern wheels. The Super Hotshot is a classic. Fun to watch, and I'm sure it's fun to drive. I’m surprised that it has such a large turning radius though. My re-release standard Hotshot has much tighter steering. I wonder if it has to do with the servo (Futaba ball bearing), or using different steering uprights. Two sets were included with the kit, and I think I used the newer ones.

Hi Glenn! Also just built one of these after sourcing one here in Australia. Two things I noticed and wondered if it was normal. 1. The gear boxed is much noisier compared to my super hornet, I'm assuming this is just as its a 4wd and has more moving parts. 2. The stock wheels tend to have a little wobble. Not sure about this one. Also whats your thoughts on wearing in new motors? great video!
