That's such a cool bit of kit to have in the collection, it really is a keeper. Love the fact that those long aluminum screws that hold the front bulkhead on have been upgraded, I need to find those. Saying that it looks like all the screws have been done

Nice 104 x1, I'm in Australia and brought my X1 2nd hand, I've had it a few years and just recently got back into racing with it at my local club, I didn't know the car is quite rare, watching your video and promo video was great thanks.

Did you know that if you run on asphalt or low grip the car will spin and so you need less weight over the rear wheels. Making the battery go lenthways over the car is a very good way of doing that. This car looks as if it is primarily a battery inline configuration which is quite interesting.

The gunmetal colour Tamiya calls dark titanium, as used in the F104v2 pro dark titanium limited edition. The small black ring on the rear axle is a weight made of steel, to balance the weight of the diff across the rear axle. Definitely started as an X1, the motor pod shock mount is unique to that chassis.

Yep, F104 X1 and exotek conversion. Additional note: Tamiya released a number of aftermarket parts for the X1 like a special upper carbon deck, left and right rear aluminum bulkheads (very choice), and other limited parts... I'll have to take a look at mine to fill you in on the other option parts for the X1. Tamiya went big with this limied one.
