I'm of the firm belief that Cass has feelings for Rapunzel, like, romantically. But I'm also of the firm belief that Rapunzel does not reciprocate those feelings. The princess has eyes only Euguene and explicitly sees Cass as her sister. Perhaps if Cass had been the one to find Raps first, then the story would have been different, but that's not whag happened, so we'll never know. Honestly, this would have been such a great storyline. Unrequited feelings, love triangles, Raps' "I love you, too, Cass, but not in the way you want me to." But I suppose fanfiction is here to satisfy those needs for us.
