I am glad you mentioned the guitarist.. everyone just talks about Melissa.. and yeah.. a gorgeous woman with a gorgeous voice.. i get it.. but this guitarist is the real deal.. and his acoustic work is outstanding.. if you check out marching on Versailles (accustic verson) or tell me why on their live from Cologne video you will be impressed.. glad you like this band..

Their first album that came out last year, Chapter I: Monarchy, was such a huge surprise for me and I love it. "Marching On Versailles" blew me away and they definitely have some power metal elements in some songs like "I am the Storm" and "Live Before You Die". I love Melissa's voice. Enjoyed the video Tank!

Melissa is a hidden gem.. what you have seen if her is only scratching the surface.. only 28 yrs old and already in a half dozen signed bands.. the work ethic and effort alone deserves more.. she is the next Floor . "she is the next Floor" may the gods of metal hear you!! I discovered her about 5 years ago when she was in Evenmore and I instantly fell in love and follow her since. Her cleans are out of this world and her growls/screams are very good and understandable (even for me as english isn't my natural language). She is criminally unknown for now I hope Ad Infinitum will help to fix that mistake. Chapter I - Monarchy was one the best debut album I ever heard can't wait for Chapter II - Legacy.

Definitely really good musicians with a not only really attractive but also very capable frontwoman. As I don't necessarily consider (power) metal to be my comfort zone, my ears often have problems with the voices of some singers. But I could listen to Melissa for hours, which I actually did with the first album. I really like her balance between soft and harsh voice and the sound fits it perfectly, at least for me. First heard Melissa with Rage of Light and their cover of Twilight of the Thunder God. And was hooked. Discovered Ad Infinitum on my streaming service as a random song, and was wow I like this. Looked up the band and was like well no wonder. Melissa is gold.

Hey Tank, while you're reviewing female fronted bands, can you check out Seven Spires from Boston? They have a new album coming out next week on Frontier Records and I think you'd enjoy them since you've reviewed bands like Dimmu Borgir and Kamelot which they're influenced by. The singer tours with Avantasia and she has a huge range from clean to death/black metal screams. They're a young and talented upcoming band who deserves more exposure! Thank you! 🤘

I actually just discovered Ad Infinitum a few days ago. Thanks youtube recommendations. Then I saw your reaction to dark side if the moon. Then i worked my way backwards to Marching on Versailles and then to Rage of Light and some of her collabs with Warkings. Shes pretty incredible :). Keep up the awesome work!

Their first album is album of the year for me. Whole album is fantastic. New album is actually their third album. They rerecorded Monarchy acoustically with different arrangements of the songs.

Hey! Glad you finally got to these guys, Tank. I first discovered them late 2019/early 2020 and was hooked pretty much right away. Then I watched their virtual launch party for their first album in the very early days of the-malady-that-can-not-be-named-on-KZbin and saw how lovely and charming they all were and that cemented it. They are all top shelf musicians, and Melissa...I love her tone. At least when I can hear her; my brain tends to shut down when I can see her, she's so beautiful.

Would probably kill potential video in the algorithm, but The Number Zero has a sound I can't say I've ever heard before (not that it doesn't exist but their singer just has a standout sound, to me). Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sort of change of pace sound.

Discovered Melissa through Rage Of Light years ago and was very impressed by her vocal power! Disappointed she parted ways but looks like she’s happy to be more focused on Ad Infinitum and it’s direction. Look forward to the new album. Meanwhile, you should check out Floor Jansen, currently with Nightwish, vocal range. Greatest female vocalist in Metal and in any genre. She does covers on Beste Zangers. Love her recent project with Northward. Love to see a second album. Lucky to see her previous band, ReVamp, just before calling it quits. Very productive woman! Love to hear your professional take. Ghost love score is a popular song for reactors. She isn’t the original vocalist when it was written but love how she took the song under her wing. When I first saw the video, I immediately thought, "Sarah Longfield Signature? What a wonderful surprise!" (If you don't know of her music, gotta check her out.) The first album by Ad Infinitum has probably, hands down, been my favorite new album during pandemic times. It's always in the car and on the rare occasions I go somewhere, it's just a constant, beautiful companion. Great band, great reaction, thanks for sharing.

Missed this one on release. Knew you would love this one. Melissa is a superb vocalist. Those runs in pre-chorus are extraordinary. The first guitar I ever had as a kid was a Steinberger clone by Cort which was headless. Rock solid, almost never needed tuning and changing strings was dead easy and fast. Kind of surprised they never became more common.
