I would say Metallica among pop fans would be "moderately popular". But of course, most of us here are primarily not pop fans.

Yeah, he's way too modest. I mean does he do ridiculous technical shit like Davie504 or Charles Berthoud? No. But I'll listen to Eugene all day every day, no contest at all, and it's about raw charisma and style, bro. He plays that bass like it's the only thing in the world. He caresses it, he chokes the life out of it, he slaps it around and then makes it sing. I'm... totally not jealous of his basses at all...

Why is nobody talking about the way this video ends? It's just... fucking _art._ The song builds and builds into more and more chaos, and just as she screams, desperate to know, "What do we have to do to get a piece of you!?" it just fucking STOPS. And she goes _so_ buttery smoothly from that shriek to this dazed, confused, lost look, like the child she's harkening back to having been in the lyrics, just wanting the world to be okay, and people to be kind. I gasp out loud a little at that ending every single time, and nobody else even seems to have noticed it! Even the camera work... it's one shot, on the whole last line, totally chaotic, zooming and tilting and panning and shaking, and _fwoomph!_ it goes still and just slowly pulls back to make her seem smaller and more innocent. **shivers** Just so amazing!

Yeah, Vlad wrote all but 2 of the songs on this upcoming album and since he's very classically influenced, he writes his compositions on piano first like they are classical symphonic works like if Mozart or Beethoven was still writing music today. Extremely creative.

Yip. The standard verse-chorus-verse-bridge/breakdown-chorus formula appears to have been firmly yeeted at this point!! LOL I seriously want Rick Beato to break down one of these latest Jinjer compositions, splicing-in some examples from classical pieces to illustrate one of his useful-for-the-novice explanations re. their use of "movements" using varying dynamics from certain "motifs" etc. to get the point across of just how high quality this band is. :)

Jinjer is like a fine wine, they only get better with time. I agree with you about the talent of this band. Vlad is like a musical Einstein, the way he uses ghost notes and snares, mad genius. Eugene is the craziest bassist I've seen, the way he taps and slides on that thing is incredible. Tatiana is one of, if not, the most dynamic vocalist I've heard, absolutely incredible. Roman is a machine, but he's like a ninja machine. Many people look over Roman but the fact that he can fill SO much noise and do it in a way you don't realize until well into the riff. Most Jinjer songs give me tears, even after hearing them hundreds of times! Keep up the reactions, I love the education about the gear! Rock on brother!

He has a breakdown of the gear and settings he uses on Jinjer's channel. Have you seen it? It's right up my alley. Lots of low, lots of tweeter highs run through a separate high-pass amp for those percussive clicks, and scooped mids to make room for Roman. Very similar to Fieldy's tone, from Korn, yet totally identifiable as only Eugene.

🔥Great reaction, Tank, as always! Love Jinjer and Mediator! Love Tatiana's lyrics: "Wish I could catch god by the beard And drag him to the dirty streets To show him what was going on The kind of curse we've waged upon" Rightfully angry at the state of the world and those who brought us to this point (the gods if you believe in any, otherwise the capitalist ruling class). Between the cross made of diamonds and her hand gesture indicating money during the last line, "what do we have to do to get a piece of you", I think she's talking about how money is the god of that ruling class. Thank you always, Tank, for bringing more fantastic Jinjer music to more people! ❤🖤🤘

Bro great reaction. You have the enthusiasm about this band that I do. I love your facts and pauses in all your videos. I used to play music myself and was a drummer. I wasn't near the level of good but I played. I love learning about the members and the instruments and everything. I've said this before in the comments of another one of your reactions to Jinjer but I'll say it again. They create music that musicians just love. The technicality of their playing and the time signature switches alone is what made me stop and listen and of course Tati's vocals. There isn't a song I've heard from them that I haven't liked/loved. The fact that they've put in their dues for 10 yrs before they were "discovered" and how dedicated they are to their craft. I can go on and on but agreed I love Jinjer and they are so far from Generic that that comment is laughable. Have a great day man!

I think a testament to this bands greatness is just how many “old school metalheads” have adopted this band as a favorite. I’ve even heard so many people say that they were never into harsh vocals before they discovered Jinjer. For it’s the fact that I really can’t get into metal core bands bc the cleans coming from males singers seem to soften the music too much for me. Tatiana just seems to sing the perfect balance for me. It’s funny although I discovered Jinjer by way of the captain clock live from resurrection video I did spend MONTHS watching the shock reaction videos of Pisces. But what’s funny now is I’m only interested in reactors who can appreciate their amazing musicality!! Anyway dude you’re one of , if not the best, reactors in the game man!! Keep it up homie!!!

Well, you may check out "The Charismatic Voice" (Tank mentioned her as a friend) and Beth Roars - they Tank analyse gears and they analyse vocals. But yes, these reactions are interesting, others in general is only to look at reactions of awkward faces, and many of them are fake "first time viewing". Actually there are some more professionals who make pretty good reactions with analysis of the music but can't remember the names. Few more reaction channels I would like to recommend are A&P reactions - dad and son from Canada who are into metal (I believe the father is a metal music journalist) and Vin and Sori - a couple that are into metal music and they have very strong analysis of the text

Keep your videos long, and pause as often as you like! You geeking out over gear is one of the things that keep me coming back to your videos! And yes, Jinjer is at the top of my list of bands to see live. This much talent in a single band happens but once in a generation!

Thanks for another awesome reaction, I couldn't wait for you to find time to do this and you delivered. I said this in another reaction but worth saying again...I love how in this song the thing they choose to tie the different sections together is that heavy black metal riff with the blast beats. The first time they use it at the beginning it is sharp and fast. Then half way through they make it heavier and use it as a break down and make you think "Oh I remember that". Then as only Jinjer would do they make it even heavier and add vocals to close out the song.

Hi Tank! Weekly reminder to check some Tremonti out! He also came out yesterday with a new single "Marching in time" for his new album sharing the same name (coming out September 24th). I highly recommend both of the singles from the album. Greetings from Germany and loving your videos man!

Planning on checking out that video soon. I'm super familiar with his playing in Creed and Alter Bridge, but I've never actually listened to his solo project.

You got me all excited when saying they come to Asia and then it turns out not to be my part of Asia 🥲 Amazing video and reaction nonetheless, the intro is just everything!

Even if one of the big selling points of the band is Tatianas voice and her ability to switch between clean and harsh vocals... I could listen to her cleans all day long. Such a great vocalist. And, no, I didn't forget the musicianship. But it's not just their skills it's the adventurous song writing that makes them stand out. You never know where a song is going to take you... And about your reaction... well, it's your views and insights I'm here for. Cant understand why people just want to look at some random people watching a video silently. Do stop. Do comment. Wherever its needed.
