Tao Yin (or Daoyin) stretching is an efficient way to clear pain from the body. Low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, joint pain, hip pain, etc can all be helped through this gentle method of opening and releasing tension from the body. We end this program with a relaxing Qigong flow to help calm the mind and release our bodies' endogenous pain killers.
Daoyin is essentially Taoist Yoga, and is the branch Qi Gong that focuses more on the opening and stretching of the body, rather than the relaxing and softening.

Hi Nick, I just discovered your site a week or two ago, I am a yoga teacher and looking for more diverse practices. I loved the yoga fusion in this one. When you don't call it revolved triangle it is so much easier! Your settings in nature, your voice and energy are so grounding and healing. I am so glad you found your way as a healer, it is clearly your dharma.

I’ve been doing qi gong 1-2x a day for over a month. The last 3 days I’ve been busy and unable to make it a part of my day and wow, I almost immediately feel the difference in my body. The days I haven’t done qi gong I feel stiff, loss of mobility, and just less peace and tranquillity. I’m a believer!

I enjoyed this, I would like to do more of your videos and integrate it in my daily routine, is there an order you would recommend. I am familiar with yoga. Your videos look like a mixture of Qigong and yoga.

I live in Santa Cruz, California (Silicon Valley's surf town), but this was filmed at Stanley Lake next to the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. I was lucky to get there in the fall when it was still warm enough to do Qigong, but cold enough that the tourists had all left. Stanley is actually the coldest place in the continental United States, so a week or two later would have been freezing! Cold but beautiful :D

There is no Tao Yin here.. if you mix yoga with qigong it doesn't become Tao Yin.
