@@taofledermaus A lot of it cant be done in a single surgery due blood loss or the risks of doing it are higher than benefit.Sometimes birdshot goes deep near vital organs, Lead is bad for organism and it will cause lead poisoning.They give you pills for that but if there are too many pellets it can be very serious. They should ban lead in every shotgun rounds,its a modern times and we have machines that can produce better quality rounds its not 1800's anymore.

@big0bad0brad It was pretty spot on at the 18 yards they used for the other tests compared to a lot of creations, until the woman shot at Brandon from 50 yards. I'm sure she's a good shot, but I would've liked to see more at 25 and 50 yards to get a better feel for the accuracy at those ranges.

@@JonMahn Yeah maybe the production differences caused the minor inconsistency but it does look like it's capable of high accuracy. I noticed the resin fill was kind of all over the place between the rods.

yeah this deserves further investigation. Looks like the steel disc is driving the rods, that’s probably why they bend when they fan out. I wonder if a cleaner resin fill would help too. The resin is holding together nicely at firing for being so frangible at impact.

i was thinking something along the same lines.. thin steel rods attached to a fixed base plate with a lyman 525 wadcutter slug inside (which is 525 grains) OR a section of steel rod similar in weight encased in resin using a DIY mould then drill a concave cavity.. put it in a sabot with 30grains of Longshot - I think that would be very similar to this.

Yep not sure why everyone loves it, he’s had better rounds before. This round is neat concept, Perhaps add fins/breakaway section on the “penetrator” part that’s acts as a deeper hollow point ? Otherwise the rods themselves are too shallow and this is just a deep penetration round

This round is probably the best home defense round I've ever seen especially seeing what it did to the wet magazines which was amazing damage and would definitely stop a Criminal in their tracks 👣. Hopefully this type of round will be available to gun owners and law enforcement ! If you used a round like this for home defense, you'd lose your gun and weapon license (edit: license to purchase/ acquire/own a gun) if you ever had one. Overpenetration in home-defense is a big no no and self-defense won't save your butt from a reckless endangerment charge.

More than just the insane terminal ballistics, this is a very stable round in flight, while many others of similar type aren't. Knackers yards were where cattle carcasses had meat and offal sorted. Hence the expression "It's knackered".... In southern England such yards were also known as the "Shambles". 0:33 I wonder; just to reduce cost, you could substitute the 19 SS rods w/ the same number of carbon steel rods cut from old steel wire cloths hangers? Then encapsulate w/ the epoxy(?) to the extent that the bare steel doesn't come in contact w/ air that could cause oxidation if the corrosion resistant coating is damaged. A round like this would certainly shred venison, like the water jug.

For sure one of the coolest and best performing rounds i have seen, its not crazy expensive to make and with a little tweaking it could be even more crazy.
