Wow it is so nice seeing the old hutong quarters appreciated nowadays!Perhaps it takes a generation sometimes to appreciated the old. I have been in Hanghzou and Beijing man years ago and vividly remember already teared down hutongs and many more marked for deconstruction, which was really sad.
