I don’t quite remember how many I launched with, but I know I launched with to many. You can launch with as little as one item if you would like. Initial investment can vary as well. I bought stuff overtime, but you definitely need a couple thousand to stay with

Start reading books about cosmetics and cosmetic formulating. I would recommend with the skin care ingredients dictionary by milady. It has a lot of information that skin care formulators need to know.

My question is, if your formulations have active ingredients, do you have to register your business or products with the fda? Like are there other permits and things needed for skin care? I appreciate you channel and your advice ❤️

You only need to get your products FDA approved if using specific ingredients like salicylic acid. When you purchase ingredients from suppliers it will mention if the ingredient has to be FDA approved or not. You also only need to get products FDA approved if you are making medical claims like “anti-aging and acne fighting” on the products label. As for permits, that varies state to state. Here in Ohio nothing is required other than a business permit. So check your state requirements. You can google what your states requirements are.

Money is too much an issue to pay for a course and I’ve got books upon books that I have that I’ve been reading. I’m just afraid that money is going to be more of an issue for the business if I pay for a course. I’m curious on your steps before your truly started your business if you don’t mind me asking❤️
