I tried to formulate my own toothpaste exactly how you described. I do all my formulas this way. The toothpaste turns out nice, but is unstable due to a too high PH, where the Benzoate will not work. Well I made only 50g for my own use, so I have to put it into the fridge. But thanks for your video.

If I am adding a powder light alpha arbutin what do I do??
@triple_a_luxuryskincare3 ай бұрын
Check the usage rate of your Alpha arbutin powder…You can decide to add your Alpha arbutin powder at the water phase or cool down phase If adding at cool down phase,you need to add your distilled water to your cool down phase formula so you can have your Alpha arbutin powder dissolved I hope you find this very useful ❤

its not quite Correct for some ingridients which originally come in liquid form. For example when you add in Vitamin E oil solution its not gonna give you the percent you calculate(wrongly) , bcs in that original oil solution vitamin E is in a certen % like 40% or 30 ... same goes to many other ingridients which come in some kind of liquid form, the vitamin is already diluted in that liquid and comprises a certen percent. most vitamin E in oil form come in 30 or 40% so when you add 0,5% of the E oil solution in your formula you are basically getting almost non existent amount which really does nothing. hope this makes sense and helps, bcs when you write on label 0,05 % vitamin E in reality you have there like 0,05% of a Vitamin E solution (acording the source linked by you) with 0.25% of Vitamin E. so Vitamin E in this product will be at 0.25 % unless you add Pure 100% vitamin E 0,05
@TaraLeee13 күн бұрын
yes, as someone who has been formulating for 10 years I know ingredients are diluted, but what does that have to do with anything in this video? The percentages provided are so you can follow the same formula. I think you are referring to the process of creating your ingredients label. That is when you want to make sure the diluted ingredients are being placed properly on the label. But for things under 1% they can be in any order. As for formulas, they have to add up to 100%. so if I add in 0.5% Tocopherols which, yes is diluted. There is "Vitamin E, Mixed Tocopherols 95%" & "Vitamin E, Mixed Tocopherols T50" they are both dilutions, but I still added in 0.5% of it. I say vitamin E in the video because if I say Tocopherols a lot of people won't know what I'm talking about. There are also ingredients like ritamulse SCG which are blends of ingredients, but I am not going to go through and break down the percentages of each ingredient in it for people. They can do that themselves when they create their products label. You are also probably thinking about liquid extract which are dilutions. If I added in 2% of my liquid turmeric extract I am well aware there isn't 2% turmeric extract in it, it's diluted. But I will still say in my video "then I added in 2% turmeric extract" because that is just how things are formulated.

@@TaraLeee i did not mean to upset you, just wanted people to be aware of %s and to pay attention to active ingridient %s in original form. good channel ,good products , lovely host. Good luck
