I just had this convo with a buddy the other day. What if all the UFO sightings are drones/rc choppers being flown before people knew what they were back in the days? My children's quad-copter can do this kind of stuff and make some seriously erratic changes in direction that would have been deemed "against the laws of physics" back in the day. Add lights to the rotors and people would see something pretty scary...

This is on a fairly small scale, though. When scaled up to the size of a manned craft, the force needed to move something of that size so quickly wouldn't be feasible with rotors. You don't see regular helicopters doing the same, do you?

But if the USGOV is going advanced large drones. I don't see how it wouldn't be possible. Runtime would be an issue. But you could probably do it for a few minutes.
