I don't buy anything that has to be on an automatic delivery no matter how good the product sounds. To me it is a different version of pyramid marketing. Why am I not allowed to buy without signing up to receive it every month or so? Yes, I could order it and then cancel, but why should I have to do that? The Califa organic almond milk is almost 7 dollars. Target is 30 to 50 percent higher in my area. I have shopped food there for 5 years because of Shipt delivery and a disability. Fresh vegetables mostly garbage. All your suggestions of Target and Thrive Foods are these pkgs of specialty foods small packages that are not affordable for families and should be avoided. Most affordable way to do a Healthy Keto (diabetic diet) is to buy whole foods and make things yourself. You can possibly get things like onions and frozen ground beef from your city's charity food shelf, and use your remaining budget for fresh non-starchy vegetables. If you try to buy any processed foods that are "keto friendly" like pickles, sauces, and snacks, things can get expensive really fast.

Problem is, for most people, "buying from a local farmer" means hours long delivery because most towns in the US don't have short distance options like a co-op or a farmer's market. So that makes it egregiously expensive to buy anything direct. Add to that farmers don't give the same discounts to consumers as to wholesale. I'm sure you are familiar with "US Wellness Meats"? Buying a humanely-grown, pasture raised meat from your local farmer through online delivery would cost more than that.
